Chapter 4

Lloyd's p.o.v

I'm swimming in black, the same memory replays over and over.

Crouched on a rock, I'm looking at Kai as he reaches for the fang blade. The lava getting closer, the rock sinking lower with each passing second.

"Kai" I call in my eight year old voice "help me." I watch, hoping, praying he'll save me. Than, looking at me than the blade, Kai stands. He back steps and runs, spinjitzus to me.

"Lets get out of here." He says, taking me in his arms. He uses spinjitzu to hop the rocks, only to stop when there's no more.

A wall if lava surrounds us, I cling to Kai as he starts glowing. "Kai, what..." "My true potential. Hang on, I'm getting us out of here." He rises a hand, a ball of fire surrounds us and we lift to the air.

Kai takes us to the Bounty, I land on the deck. Kai smiles at uncle Wu and passes out. Later, I hug Kai after it was found out I'm the green ninja.

He looks at me, a smile on his face. "I'll always protect you, little brother." I snuggled into his side. "I love you, big brother." In that moment, Kai adopted me as his little brother and so did Nya.

My body starts feeling warm. My blood pumps faster. I lift my head, looking around but it's all blurry. The liquid drains and I'm coughing up the liquid as well.

The door opens, I crawl out, finding an old blanket covered in dust. Wrapping it around me, I lean on the wall and stand. Stumbling, I use said wall to walk. Pushing open the door, I see rows opon rows of containers like the one that I was in.

Seeing an exit door, I go through. Wrapping the blanket around me tight, my feet crunch in the snow. 'How long has it been.' I think, walking to the street.

Seeing the flashing lights and hearing sounds after God knows how long, it's too much and I sink to my knees in the snow. Covering my head and ears, tears begin to fall.

A hand gently rests on my back, I turn my head. "Hey buddy, you okay." A gentle, soft voice sounds. Peeking my head out, I see an elderly man, brown hair turning salt and pepper.

A horn hooks and I whine as it hurts my ears. Curling up tighter, the man rubs my back. He slips off his coat and drapes it over me. Working his arm under my knees, his other on my back, he stands, lifting me easily.

I lean my head on his shoulder, seeking the warmth he gives. This reminds me of Kai in a way. The man comes to a building, I'm too covered to look.

He shoulders a door open, another presence is felt. "We have any of Lloyd's old clothes, Cole." I perk up at my name and Cole's name being said. Maybe this man lives with dad, mom, uncle and the ninja.

But, he said some of my old clothes. Fear shoots into me as another voice sounds, but, it's nowhere near Cole's. "Yeah, we kept his room the way it was. We only go in to clean it. I'll get some clothes."

I surge up, strength having returned and roll out of the man's hold. The blanket is around my shoulders, I tie it to cover my privates and lower to a stance. Three sets of foot falls come, a woman, another man and......Zane. 

"Who the hell are you. Why you in uncle's monastery." "Kid, this all a misunderstanding. We can explain. Your not in your ri...." I form a green energy ball, holding it to strike. All five freeze, the one the brought me walks forward.

"Lloyd." He asks.

I look at hem, he steps again, I send the ball. He jumps back. "Who the hell are you." I yell. "Its us, Kai, Cole, Nya and Jay." The man said. "I don't believe that."

"In the volcano, I saved you from being burned and awakened my true potential. When we found out you were the green ninja, I and Nya adopted you as our baby brother."

My hands shake, I lower my arm. "How....how long. How long has it been." I ask, fear in my voice.

Jay steps forward. "You've been missing, presumed dead for fifty years." When he said that, it crashes down hard. I feel myself falling back, the ninja rush to catch me. Arms wrap around me, I look into the last face I see before blacking out.

"Welcome home, son."
