"C'mon Jacky, your being a slow poke." cheered a little girl running.

An older boy behind her smirked, "You know I'm older than you, right, so that means I'm obviously faster than you, and would you please stop calling me Jacky" Jack was 12 and was going to turn 13 in a couple of days. He was a tall and scrawny. His hair was short, strawberry blonde and curved downward. His nose was small and curved. His eyes, however, were the most unique part of him. Unlike normal kids with brown or blue eyes, he had dark red eyes. Because of this, most kids at school called him blood eyes, which for Jack, sounded pretty cool despite what others think.

"Never!" screamed the girl and ran away giggling. Jack ran in pursuit of the girl.

"Be careful you two." yelled a young woman standing on the steps to a house. "Ok!" yelled Jack and the girl simultaneously.

"And don't bug the neighbor." came a yell from inside the house. "We know Dad!" replied the kids, though they didn't get why.

As Jack ran, he seemed to see a shadow in the alley way of two houses. Jack stopped and stared toward the alley but there was nothing there.

The girl started running ahead of Jack while he was distracted. Jack noticed how far she went. "Sarah, WAIT UP!" yelled Jack but Sarah continued running ahead.

Sarah was a young girl around 7. Despite her small stature, she was pretty outgoing and beat most kids at school in races. She had the same color hair as Jack. Except, Sarah's eyes weren't red like Jack's, they were crystal blue with a gleam of mischief. She had an overall pale complexion which is why most boys at the school have a crush on her.

As Jack raced to catch up, he noticed that Sarah was running toward the farther side of the neighbor's house. As soon as Jack caught up to her, he questioned "Didn't dad literally just tell us not to come here?"

"Yeah, I know, but what's so important that we need to stay away. Plus, I saw something really cool in his backyard." she replied.

Jack was really confused. "I don't want to get in trouble Sarah, you know how mad mom and dad would be."

"PRETTY PLEASE!" begged Sarah, "It will be really quick, I promise."

"Ugh, fine." Jack said reluctantly but it was hard to convince Sarah not to do something. "But you show me what you saw then we are getting out, okay?"

"Okay." Agreed Sarah, though Jack thought he might regret this later.

Jack helped Sarah hop over the fence then tried hopping over himself. As he got on top of it he didn't know how to get back down, so to improvise, he tried wrapping his right leg so his back was toward the backyard. As he was about to hop down he lost his grip and fell on his back. He had the urge to yell out loud but made it a grunt instead. Jack quickly got back up and turned around to see Sarah was gone. Jack cautiously walked forward, then out of nowhere everything changed to in front of his house and his parents are laying on the ground dead. Jack burst out crying. He was so confused. It felt like it was Real. Suddenly he turned around to see a man in black holding a knife. The man was about to strike.
