I fell hard against the cold ground, pushing my hands out in front of me to brace myself. My head smashed against the solid floor.
Immediately I was engulfed in darkness, feeling nothing but the pounding of my heart in my throat. After what felt like seconds, but must have been more, I woke up with a jolt. I grabbed hold of the hands which were shaking me and looked up, it was Kol.
He pulled me into a hug, pulling my body against his. Amongst all this confusion, I felt safe in his arms.
"Oh Ana, you do scare me sometimes" he laughed softly, he meant well but I fear my dreams were getting more vivid... unsafe.
I nodded, brushing my short hair from my eyes and getting out of bed.
Kol squeezed me gently and went downstairs to join mother.I had started to fear the night, every nightmare had gotten worse, clearer. We already knew of the werewolves in our neighbouring town. But this was old news, my dreams weren't about werewolves.. no, werewolves didn't drink blood.
