Chapter I
Lily rolled over as the sun shone through her window. She slowly blinked her eyes open and sluggishly slid out of bed. She moped into the kitchen where she saw her father standing by the stove. Her hands began to sweat, her eyes moved from one object to another. 'I thought he was going to work this morning...' she thought hastily. Lily quickly made her way back to her room and got dressed. She slipped on a lilac dress with a slit at the knee with white flats. She put a white flower in her hair to match. Coming from the kitchen she heard a loud bang and flinched. So she swiftly grabbed her bag and darted out of her room. Her father grunts as he throws an empty beer bottle at her. It misses, smashing into the wall. Lily screams and jumps as the bottle shatters. She bolts out of the house and to the bus stop. As she is waiting for the bus stop, it begins to rain. "Rain! Really!" she wailed as her dress became soaked. The bus finally arrived and she hopped in. She sits down and sighs quietly. She could feel the water soaking through, and groaned softly. When the bus stopped at the school everyone piled out. Lily walked slowly, feeling uncomfortable as her soaked dress moved and stuck against her legs. She walked over to a bench under a canopy and set her bag down so she could try and ring out her dress. "Why today.." she grumbled.*************************
Shawn woke up to the sound of birds chirping outside his apartment window. He slowly got out of bed and walked into his bathroom. He grabbed his comb and began combing his soft black hair to the side. When he finished with his hair he grabbed his clothes; a black leather jacket on top of a white t-shirt paired with dark denim ripped jeans and some black high-tops to match. He walks out of his bathroom into his living room, picking up his bag. As he heads out the door he realizes that it is pouring down rain. He walks over to his black Subaru Escort and unlocks the driver side door. He steps into his car as the rain pours in, dripping down the side of his door and car seats. He starts his car and begins to drive to school. He parks his car in his usual spot and steps out into pouring rain. He looks up as he gets under the canopy seeing a girl in a soaking wet lilac dress. He noticed that she was shivering and muttering something about the rain. He approaches her, taking off his black leather jacket as he does so. When he is standing in front of her with his jacket in hand, she looks up, her hair soaking wet. They look into eachothers eyes, his icy blue eyes, meeting her ocean blues. He gently drapes his jacket over her shoulders. "You look cold" he says with a smirk. She looks up into his eyes and says, "T-Thanks" while blushing slightly.
