Amber, Camryn, Steven and I had all spent the last three hours watching movies and talking. Camryn had arrived at my house about a half an hour into the first movie, with her party outfit in tow.
When it hit about 7:15 me and the girls went up to my room to get ready for the party. I also really needed them to help me pick out an outfit to wear, considering I did not like dresses I always asked their opinions on what to wear.
Camryn had brought with her a black jean skirt and a pink crop top to match her pink vans that she loved to wear.
After about ten minutes we found an outfit that suited me for the night. I still had my high wasted black ripped jeans, but with a tight white crop top that showed off my toned stomach. We paired it with some silver jewelry and my black combat boots.
Amber had put her hair into braid while we watched movies to it would be wavy in time for the party. Camryn settles on straightening her hair but needed Ambers help because she became very impatient and annoyed with the straightener.
Long story short she ended up burning her hand on accident so Amber took over helping her.
For my hair I decided to simply curl it, it wasn't to difficult because mine curled fairly easy. Then we all applied a bit of makeup to finish up. Both me and Amber had done wings and mascara, she added some eyeshadow, while I gave myself a bit of highlight. Camryn did mascara, eyeshadow, and some nude lipstick to pull her look together.
"It's 8:15 girlies, looks like we're gonna be fashionably late." Amber said as she walked out of my bathroom to put her shoes on.

Ten minutes later the four of us were in the car with Steven driving, him being the designated driver for the night.
"Alec just texted he said him and the boys are already there." Camryn said while typing away in the backseat. "Okay we'll find him when we get there." I responded while nodding my head. I glanced over to Amber she was being oddly quiet this car ride.
I discretely tapped her knee to get her attention. She turned to face me and gave me a small smile, I furrowed my eyebrows and mouthed to her 'you okay?' She mouthed back 'tell u later'
When we got to the party it was around 8:30 and it seemed to already be in high gear, music blasting, teens dancing everywhere, and many somehow already seemed drunk.
We got a parking spot a couple houses down from the party. Everyone got out of the car and started walking to the house, I grabbed Ambers arm and yelled to the others, "We'll be there in a sec, I gotta tell Amber something real quick." Both Camryn and Steven nodded and continued walking to the party.
"Okay, are you alright? You seem...off." I questioned Amber as I spoke quietly. She shrugged, "I mean I'm okay, just Jack texted me, I could tell he was drunk and didn't respond. So per usual he started cussing me out, calling me a bitch for leaving and 'stealing' mom from him." She said while kicking around a pebble by her foot.
"Oh Amber, come here." I said while holding my arms out to hug her. Jack was her father, a shitty one at that, we both had that in common. Her parents had gotten divorced when we were in 8th grade, she wasn't a daddy's girl, but definitely didn't take the change easy.
Jack was always a drunk and would often take out his anger on Amber never physically hitting her but always slurring insults at her claiming she's had ruined his life' which was bullshit.
We hugged for a few moments before she pulled away, "You're stronger than him Amber, we both know that he's the real bitch." I said which she cracked a smile at. "Thanks V, don't know what I'd do without you." She said as she closed her eyes and took a few deep breaths that calmed her down.
When she opened her eyes she was back to herself I could tell. "Alright let's go have a great night, and a couple of drinks!" She said while slinging her arm around my shoulder. So we did just that, when we got in the house Camryn was relatively close to the door waiting for us.
"Hey you guys all good?" She said asking us, but mainly Amber, she always had a good sense on how someone was feeling. Amber nodded her head and gave her a 'yep' before dragging us over to the kitchen to get some drinks.
Once we got there Amber grabbed three shots for us to all take together. We smiled at one another and clinked our shots together and drank them in one go.
As we were making some cocktails a pair of hands suddenly went in front of my eyes causing me to jump a bit. "Guess who?" Said an extremely familiar voice. I laughed as I turned around to hug Alec.
Alec and I had been friends since we were babies, before I moved we had been neighbors. Me and him were the only ones left of our old childhood friend group. There used to be six of us, the majority of the rest just drifted apart with age, and one turned their back on mainly me, but Alec too.
She was the one who I really thought would always be there for me. We were basically sisters, always conjoined at the hip. But it's funny how people can change, and throw you away like you never mattered, even though you were there for them through everything.
But it's a common thing to know that if you hurt someone Alec cares about he will turn his back on you. So that's what we did with her. Alec was family to me, he always protected me and was a brother figure to me.
"Hey bro how's it going?" I said while giving him a side hug and finishing up my drink. "Pretty good, the boys are here somewhere but I figured I'd say hi to y'all first."
As I finished up my drink I turned and smiled to see camryn handing Alec a drink, they always had the same taste in drinks. But I still couldn't hide my smirk as I saw Alec soften up a bit and give a gentle 'thank you' to her. I looked at Amber and we both made the same suggestive smirk to each other.
We stayed in the kitchen for a while to talk and finish our drinks. By the time me and the girls were done we were more than ready to go to the 'dance floor'. I could already tell the three of us were a bit tipsy.
The 'DJ' of the party was playing a bunch of popular rap, hip hop and pop songs that got everybody dancing. We were all having a good time dancing along to the rhythm of the songs.
I just had no idea how interesting this night would become.
