Lust

Between his fingers curled an odd pendant of black stone. Its shape a peculiar diamond of a smoother touch.

His knee found the floor; suddenly, the vessel snapped. The piece he held began to pour from a black sand. From this, Ashai shaped the same diamond as he held once. Now finished — as his arm rested upon his knee — the dragon's eyes held shut to the floor. All while he whispered mutterings to himself.

"Lord, forgive my intrusion, I need answers. Answers these mortal engines cannot give."

There it was; something so obscene, so horrendously terrible that the air would reject its very being... If only it could know.

"Apologies, I've not an offering." His eyes rose to meet those that cast upon him. Passed the pale, feeble legs, Ashai gorged his eyes on what was truly a hideously treacherous being: Lust incarnate, Qr-ōk.

Speaking nought, he waited.

"My love?" As both man and woman Qr-ōk spoke; an elegant tone of such subtle unity, it would usher mortal ears to a nirvana.

By their fingers, Ashai's head was cradled by his chin: he was given allowance.

"They all speak boldly with words they know no meaning of. Such ignorance, I worry they sew deadly fortellings. Have... They graced us with their eye?" Within his throat, clotted a hesitant anxiety of a... Divine fear.

"I've held close to our Malevolency. Much worse have they to mind than here; you will not have to turn on your Roses." Spreading from their maw, a grin became. Qr-ōk found only amusement in Ashai's endeavor, the kind Ashai's matre had found in watching her pup play.

"What do you ask I do?" He pleaded for guidance.

"Stay with them, help them just as you've been told. Continue on diligently and all will come clearly - in time."

"How much longer?..." He growled.

Such passive defiance would never be tolerated for within Ashai's thoughts swelled a sour furor.

"Tsk. Tsk." Qr-ōk no longer braced him.

"Temper, temper. You know where anger will lead you." Across his eyes graced visions of horror: atop mounds of mortal man, a depraved demon stood. Soaked, blood trickled from the hovering half-god. Just as the wicked one held a finger to the trifling Dragon, he became immersed in the horror of its gaze: within its skull, pools of oblivion palmed a cadmium glow that burrowed into Ashai's ardor. Concluding such infinite horrors, he now held his eyes to his Lord.

"Forgive me..." Holding still, his head hung low.

"Patience, my obedient pet, and enlightenment will find you."

"Yes, my Lord."

"So, ave, champion." Atop his scales fell a gentle kiss. Returning his eyes, he found himself alone. Brought anew, his pendant hung from his neck once again.

"It will be done."
