Working in the shop with Asra is amazing. He has taught me everything I need to know about magic, from tarot readings to spells. Asra is normally on a trip, wherever he goes but we don't get many customers unless it is a festival or something of those sorts, so I can handle keeping up the store by myself. Honestly, I wish Asra was around more. Asra and I are close but I don't really know him, the personal details. All I remember was waking up in his arms and not knowing anything. He told me that I had died and he resurrected me, he also informed me that he tried to get my memories back but it failed and he didn't want to further damage my memories. I try to ask Asra questions about my past, like how did I die? and how did we know each other previously? but he answers vaguely or just avoids the question. I don't try to pry even though I get really curious.
"You're leaving again?" I ask Asra.
"Yes..." He responded.
He paused and looked me in the eyes.
"I'm sorry for leaving you alone all the time but I know that you can handle this store. Right?" Asra finally responded.
"Of course" I quickly added.
"Before I go, I want to give you something."
"What is it?" I ask.
"My tarot deck" Asra replyed.
I didn't expect Asra to give me his tarot deck. His own creation. It is full of great power.
"Do you think I'm ready,master?
"Master.... you still call me that" Asra mumbled. Asra spoke up, "You have made incredible progress over time."
Asra looked me in my eyes. "Do you think that you are ready?"
"I think so, master."
"So then I trust your judgment," Asra said.
Asra picked his remaining bags and turned towards the door.
Asra hummed. "Ok, I will be back soon."
"Be safe," I said as Asra walked out the door.
