In the morning, I woke up with a loud knock on the door. I opened my eyes slowly and it took me a few, to figure out what was going on. There was a lot of noise coming from the corridor and from the outside.
The door opened, hitting the wall hard. Inside, well-armed guards came in, forcefully pulling me out of the room.
Palnedo was waiting in the corridor. Behind him was Uro, caught by guards like me.
I looked at Uro, then at Palnedo, without knowing what was going on. Uro's face expressed regret.
Palnedo:-You probably have questions. I will explain to you right now what is happening. You and Uro were caught last night on camera, hugging. Do you have any explanation?
...:-Grandpa, don't do that! Please!!
Sharp screams were heard from behind Uro.
Palnedo:-Erishuka, what are you doing here??!!
Behind her came guards who wanted to take her up, but she was fought back.
Palnedo:-I told you to lock her in her room!
...:-We apologise!
Erishuka:-No!! Let me explain, please, no!!!
The guards managed to get her up and took her to her room, while she was crying and fighting back. All this, happening right in front of my eyes.
Seeing Erishuka crying, I began to fight back, too, because I couldn't see her crying. Uro looked at her very upset, but he didn't move at all.
Me:-Erishuka !! i shouted as the guard threw her into her room and closed the door.
Palnedo:-Coming back. What exactly happened last night?
I was looking at Uro, and he was looking at me, none of us knowing what to say.
Palnedo:-I give you the right to defend your skin. Come on, tell me.
Me:-I ...
I lowered my head, tears began to appear.
Uro:-It was my fault.
I suddenly raised my head, eyes wide, staring at Uro.
Uro:-She started crying very hard, and I wanted to comfort her.
Palnedo:-Comfort her? She is our enemy! But still, -he turned to me- why did you cry?
I lowered my head again, not knowing what to answer. I couldn't tell him...I couldn't risk it, especially since Uro was here too.
...:-The lab is ready, Mr. Palnedo. You can bring her.
Palnedo:-This is your last chance to tell the truth, so that your death will not be in vain.
I lifted my head as tears run down my warm cheeks. I smiled, as I made the final decision.
Me:-Erishuka asked me if I like Uro. I realized that I have feelings for my biggest enemy.
I looked at Uro, and he opened his eyes wide, looking at me.
Palnedo:-I understood. Guys, take her to the basement.
The guards tightened my arms, forcing me to go with them.
Uro, seeing that they were moving, began to fight back slowly, because he knew he couldn't escape the guards' hands anyway.
I took a deep breath, trying to comfort myself, but I couldn't. I couldn't stop my tears.
Reaching the cellar I already knew too well, the guards put me on a table, tying my arms with some straps. In that cellar I accompanied Uro almost every day. There, human experiments were taking place. After they tied me tight, Palnedo ordered the guards to leave.
Me: - I thought you said you will not kill me.
Palnedo:-I said that if you do not obey, I did not say what I will do in the end. However this was going to happen anyways, you just speeded up the process. How else do you think we will collect your power?
Me:-But...Power is something generic. You can't collect it since I have the powers in my veins ever since I was born!
Palnedo:-You see...Death can collect absolutely anything. This experiment is created especially for you, so feel honored that we have spent a few months to do it. By torturing you, we will gather your power in this vessel, and then we will insert it inside us.
He brought a very large container, which resembled a large tube.
Me:-Torturing...me??!!
Palnedo took a syringe in his hand, then injected a red liquid into my veins.
Sweat drops were beginning to appear on my face. It hurt, but I didn't make any sound.
Me:-Uro...What do you want to do to him?
Palnedo:-He is the director of the association and my right hand, you know that I cannot kill him. He will most likely be punnished to a maximum of two weeks.
He took a knife, disinfecting it. Seeing the knife, I began to feel fear in my body. I began to move, trying to break the straps from my wrists.
Palnedo:-You are struggling in vain, the straps are very thick.
I could feel the cold blade of the knife as it touched my skin, piercing it.
I bit my lower lip, refraining from screaming. I was starting to tighten my muscles as Palnedo began to cut deeper and deeper. He made a longitudinal cut on my left forearm, then tore my blouse around my abdomen, starting to cut me there. Looking at the tube, I saw it fill with a white vapor.
Me:-No...
He cut my abdomen deeper and deeper. I started to feel a sharp pain, being difficult for me to breathe.
Me:-Stop...
He took my right hand and pierced my forearm deeply.
Me:-STOOOOPPPP!!!!!
Above us, screams and gunshots began to be heard.
Palnedo:-Hmm?
We both looked up.
Palnedo:-What is happening? I told them I cannot work when there's noise.
He put the knife down, wanting to move to the exit to check where the noise was coming from.
For a fraction of second, I felt a strong wind in front, forgetting absolutely everything that was happening around me because of a huge noise. I closed my eyes.
...:-Palnedo, you are arrested for putting into practice some totally forbidden human experiments.
That voice...
...: - We are here, Miss Director!
...:-Reporting for duty!
Slowly opening my eyes, I saw two people I knew extremely well, loosening my wrists.
Me:-Hirato !! Tsukitachi !!
Hirato: -I'm sorry it took us so much time. Uff, you're hurt. Tsukitachi, bring Akari.
Tsukitachi:-Understood!
Hirato helped me get up, telling me not to force myself because the deep wounds are open.
Iva and Tsukumo grabbed Palnedo and dragged him up the stairs.
Me:-How did you get in here?
Hirato:-I will explain to you when we are on the ship. Now we are waiting for Akari and then we will leave.
