Hermione skipped to her first potions class of her seventh year. She had heard a rumour that they were brewing amortenia today. It was review, but she couldn't help but be slightly excited. After all, her favorite subject was potions. She walked into the classroom, and noticed that she was the first one there. She had even beat the new potions teacher.
About five minutes later, the new potions teacher walked in.
"Early Ms. Granger?" He asked.
"Professor Snape, you startled me. Pardon me for asking Professor but weren't you-" Hermione started.
"Now is not the time to discuss my status as of the war, Ms. Granger," Snape interrupts her. He was surprised at her happiness at him being back. He knew majority of the students thought he was a greasy-haired dungeon bat. Hermione turns red in shame, and the other students file in.
"Amortenia," Severus Snape starts while writing on the chalkboard. "Is the most powerful potion in existence. It causes a powerful infatuation or obsession from the drinker. It cannot actually make the drinker fall in love with the brewer, it makes them have a.... Fake obsession with you," he drawls.
Severus flips the board over. "Here is your instructions for the potion, now get to work," he chides.
Hermione first gathers the ingredients, and gets to work on brewing the potion. The simmering heat made her hair frizzy before she was even done with it.
Fifteen minutes later, Hermione's potion was done.
"Care to tell us what Amortenia smells like to you Ms. Granger?" Snape asked.
Hermione smiled. "I smell parchment, freshly mown grass, various potions ingredients, and it also smells very strongly of coconut to me, Professor." Then her smile dropped. "It's changed," she mumbles under her breath.
"I would also like to add that what you smell from the amortenia can change if your attractions change," Professor Snape adds. Hermione nods.
"Coconut," she mutters once her Professor is gone. "Where have I smelled that before?" Hermione thinks for a minute before her eyes widen and she sits up straighter in her chair. The last potion is turned in as she digests this new information.
"Class dismissed," Snape announces.
Hermione hurriedly shoves her things back in her school bag, and runs out of the classroom.
By this time, the classroom is empty.
"Coconut," Snape speaks out loud while smelling his hair. "Coconut and various potions ingredients."
Hermione sits in transfiguration class, trying to deny her thoughts. Transfiguration class goes by in a blur, and before Hermione knows it, Professor McGonagall is dismissing the class and takes Hermione aside to talk to her.
"Are you alright, Hermione?" McGonagall asks kindly. "You were quiet in class today," she adds. "You didn't raise your hand once, and you failed to do a simple review transfiguration spell."
Hermione nods. "I've just been thinking."
"About?" Professor McGonagall asks her.
Hermione sighs. "I think I'm in love with Professor Snape,* she confesses.
Professor McGonagall's eyes go wide, and she gasps.

Alright, first chapter. How did I do?
I apologise, I'm not a very good writer.
I'm actually really surprised I made it over 500 words.
Should I continue this book?
If I have five people that want to read this book, I will continue.
Thank you for reading.
