"Happy we are going to find you a girlfriend day!", Arizona excitedly greeted her friend and embraced the blonde tightly. Teddy rolled her eyes, why had her friends to be like this? She was glad they had found each other but she wasn't even officially outed.
"Let's gooo!", Callie ordered, just as happy as her wife. "I feel like today is the day!", she added when she pushed Teddy out of the door. "I mean, you look hot!"
"I always look hot!", the cardio-thoracic surgeon exclaimed as they got into the taxi. "To Joe's bar, please!", she told the driver.
"I've been thinking about people who might be there and what about you and Maggie?", Arizona suggested and wiggled her eyebrows to encourage her amazing idea.
"No!", Teddy said, shaking her head. "She is in love with Andrew DeLuca and I don't think that is going to change soon."
"So, how about Cristina?", Callie wondered.
"Cristina as in my mentor Cristina who is my best friend's girlfriend? I don't think so!", the blonde answered. "And don't bring up Meredith next, just to give me another option."
"Okay! Sorry, your majesty!", the peds surgeon snapped, raising her hands to defend herself.
When the group of friends finally arrived at the bar, they greeted everyone by knocking on the tables. Since it were too many people, all their colleagues had spread around the bar and found something to busy themselves with.
"Sooo, Jo maybe?", Callie winked at Teddy and continued: "She and Alex broke up a few days ago, which means she must be single."
"Yeah, she might be. But you know them! They are going to get together again eventually and I truly believe Jo is one hundred percent straight.", the blonde sighed.
"Why exactly must it be someone you already know?", Arizona wanted to know, when she realized that she had been the one to introduce this unspoken rule.
"Hey, guys!", Derek suddenly greeted them as he came to their table. Next to him stood a very pretty brunette, who was wearing a red mini that left room for a deep imagination. Her hair was hanging over her shoulder, styled in dark curls and her eyes seemed to be the bluest ones Teddy had ever seen. "This is my sister Amelia. Amy, these are my friends Callie, Teddy and Arizona."
"Hey, nice to meet you!", Amelia greeted them with a very sweet smile.
"Wow...uhh, I mean hello!", one of the blonde women replied.
"You are Teddy, right? Sorry, I need a minute before really knowing all those names. Derek just introduced me to a lot of his colleagues and friends.", the brunette explained. "And now I am rambling again, I am quite a chatterbox but usually the first drink causes me to talk nonstop and I haven't even had one yet."
"Well, you should sit down here with us. There's some space next to Teddy!", Callie grinned as she locked eyes with her best friend and signaled her to get it on with Derek's sister. "My wife Arizona and I will go get us some drinks. Any special wishes?"
"Vodka tonic!", Amelia and Teddy replied at the same time, glancing at each other in surprise before both women grinned.
"Well, I can't wait to watch that one play out!", Arizona whispered to Callie when they were waiting at the bar, staring back at their table then and there.
"Is there a reason your friends keep stalking us from where they wait for our drinks?", the brunette wondered, amused.
"Yeah, they've been trying to set me up with a date for a while now and feel like today is the day. They believe everyone should have such a rainbowy relationship like the one they share.", the cardio-thoracic surgeon informed the newcomer.
"A gay one, you mean?", Amelia deepened the conversation.
"No...I mean, in my case? Yes. But generally they just want everybody to be happy, you know?", Teddy answered and shrugged.
"Well, what are you searching for in a woman?", the neurosurgeon bravely flirted. "Have you had a girlfriend before?"
"No, but a few boyfriends. I am bi not gay.", the blonde shared. "I don't even know what I am searching for in women, because-"
"Here are our drinks!", Callie accidentally interrupted the talk as she and her wife sat down. "So, what is your job, Amelia?", she asked.
"I'm a neurosurgeon, just like Derek. Which is why I am coming to work with you guys, because he wants me to stay in Seattle.", the brunette said. "Thank you for the drink!"
"You're welcome.", Arizona smiled. "Are you in a relationship?"
"Arizona!", Teddy warned her best friend in embarrassment as her cheeks blushed in a deep red.
"No, I am not. I came here with Derek today and told him it is to meet his closest people, but also to maybe find someone to have some fun with, if you understand what I mean.", Amelia remained cool. "And I guess it already happened."
"Wait, what kind of fun are we talking about?", a very tipsy April, who had overheard the conversation when she made her way over to the group of women, wondered. "Getting to spend the evening with such funny new friends like us?"
"Nope, Apes!", Callie laughed. "She meant she is looking for someone to make out with."
"Why is no one ever looking for a real soulmate? I don't get it. You could have so much more than sex if you get together with Teddy.", the redhead whined.
"Nobody at this table said my name, April.", Teddy sighed, even more embarrassed now. She hid her face in her hands and looked down at her lap.
"Hey, come on! None of that!", Amelia demanded softly. "Your face is way too beautiful to be hidden because of a truth."
"What are you saying?", the blonde's muffled voice wanted to know and felt goosebumps on her back when her ear came in contact with the brunette's breath.
"Let's get out of here!", she whispered confidently, took Teddy's hand and pulled her with her.
"Oh my God April, you did it!", Arizona cheered!
When the pair arrived outside, Amelia lost no time in slightly pushing the cardio-thoracic surgeon against the wall. She got closer with her face but didn't kiss Teddy yet.
"What's wrong?", the woman wondered. "Why aren't you doing what I thought you would do?"
"Because I need you to tell me that you want this first.", the neurosurgeon explained. "Do you want this?"
"More than anything!", Teddy convinced her counterpart and put her lips on those of the hot brunette. The kiss started off very slow, making both feel everything that was new to them on a very increased level. But they soon grew more hungry and passionate, ending up satisfying each other in more ways than only this one.
