There once was an old man who was skilled in making puppets and dolls of any sort. He was a nice old man. He always welcomed anyone into his store with a smile. He took great pride in his hobby of making these toys and made it his job to touch each child's heart.

One day a young girl came up to the window of his ran down building he called "The Clockwork Transition". She was young and could see the dolls and puppets hanging there. She looked at it and smiled. Then a tear rolled down her face. She was crying so much the cold weather didn't even touch a tear. She was too poor to buy any of these. The old man noticed the girl. He felt bad and opened the door to his shop.

"Come in it's freezing, What's your name?" the old man said with his smile.

"I'm not supposed to talk to strangers" the girl said as she walked into the shop wiping the tears from her face.

"You were raised right then. Now tell me why the tears?"

"My mommy said that we don't have enough money"

"Well... what if i told you you could have any doll in this shop for free?"

The girl's face lit up. She ran around the shop looking for the one she wanted. She then looked at one and took it down from it's shelf. It had a blue dress and was about her size. She was a small girl. The doll looked surprisingly like her.

"This one , I want this one"

"Well it's all yours go on and show your mommy"

The girl ran out of the store and showing her mommy that was looking for her. The old man saw the happiness in her eyes she could barely handle the happiness. The old man then locked the door and closed the shop.

"Stupid girl" the man said with a small laugh

A few nights and weeks and months the girl was fast asleep in her room. The doll was right next to her bed on the table. The doll's eyes then grew red. The doll slightly moved and examined the situation. She has to get the girl to the shop by midnight or else her heart will stop. With ease the doll stood up and grabbed the girl by her head. The girl , shocked, woke up making barely a sound before the doll shoved a part of her dress into her mouth.

" I must get thee to creator" The doll said dragging the now unconscious girl out of her window and into the old man's shop.

The old man heard a noise and jumped in excitement as his new victim came into the shop.

" Very good my doll now follow me and put her poor soul on the table." The man said walking to the back of his shop where a metal table laid there with various tools and parts laying on another table next to it. The doll dropped the young girl's body on the table while the old man strapped her on. The girl's eyes opened in shock as she saw the old man playing with the many tools that were on the table. The old man looked over and saw the girl start to cry in fright.

"Shhhhhh" the old man said wiping the tears away. "This'll only take but a second."

The man then looked at the doll and nodded his head with readiness. The doll then grabbed a syringe of an unknown liquid and stabbed it into the girl's throat. The girl soon stopped shedding tears and her eyes began to come to a close. The man then grabbed his tools and began his operation.

The man replaced her hair with yarn and her joints and muscles with gears of all sizes. He then grabbed the doll's chest and opened her up. Inside laid a heart with a series of pipes and gears. You could ever so slightly hear a ticking noise that was mimicking a heart beat. The doll then dropped to the floor lifeless and limp as if she was only a doll. He then placed the heart inside the girl. The operation was done... now all he had to do is wait for her to awake.

The girl awoke as she had no idea where she was. She then noticed something felt strange. She had no need to breath or blink. She felt the gears then move as she then got up as the old man unstrapped her.

"Where am I and Who are you?"

The old man looked at his masterpiece and then answered "Your Creator"

The girl then heard a slight ticking and looked a bit shocked. She held her hands to her face. She saw gears where joints should be. She held a lock of what should be hair in front of her eyes but instead she found yarn. She was shocked but felt refreshed. She was practically new and refreshed.

"You may feel dizzy as that is a slight side effect of what had happened with some nausea but alas YOU'RE COMPLETELY AND UTTERLY PERFECT" The old man said as he then grabbed the girl and put her in a box. The box was layered with velvet and fitted to her body perfectly.

" Hush now... go to sleep we have a long day ahead of us" The man closed the box tight and then walked away.
