The Night that never ended

No one is above the law

Its a quite warm evening when world is fighting a war with the Monster-covid 19 or initially named as Corona Virus.

Whole nation was under lockdown as precaution measure to cut the chain and to stop the spread of a chronic disease to earth.

Even the mighty countries have been seen falling in front of it.

So one fine quarantine day, the sun was bored and was about to set, I was at my friends accomodation for few days to spend lockdown days. Soon after dinner Aron was lying on bed browsing something on laptop. Meanwhile Kevin was on Terrace talking to his love. And Andrew too was on Phone with his love resting on bed and myself Allen was wondering here and there on Instagram.

It was quite usual routine of us after having dinner, but that day something unusually happened. At around 11pm, PG manager along with few other came into our room. There were about 3 men who came inside wearing face mask and carrying few papers in there hand.

We all thought they are medical team for checking our temperature or for noting any symptoms of Covid. Immediately one of them started asking our names one by one. They Stared with Aron, as he was sitting on bed right Infront of bed then to Andrew and then to me, they asked about other guy Kevin, we said he is on terrace then told us to call him. It seems they knew who all are here in room.

In a mean time one of them who seemed to be senior sat on bed and Asked Aron "what had happened that night".
We all were puzzled about what he is asking. Aron replied "which night...i don't know", as soon as he said this the senior guy slapped Aron on face so hard that we could feel the heat of heavy palm. Other guy pulled the pistol and started Threating him to say the truth.
Aron was in utter shock, holding his cheek and below his eye it was swelled.
Soon we realised they aren't any Medical team instead they are Police officers.
Again one of the officer punched Aron on back quite hard and asked again to say the turth, Aron again said I have no idea what r u asking.. immediately third officer smacked Aron knee with the backside of pistol, Aron shouted in pain.
The senior officer who was sitting on bed calming said Aron "Do you why we are asking just you, Andrew and Allen too are here, there something you only know, If u say they truth we will cooperate and things will be easy for u" and meanwhile Kevin came back from terrace and entered the room with no idea what is happening. As he was entering, he asked "what happend?" One among the officer slapped Kevin too, we all have no idea what was going on.

The senior officer again slapped Aron and said "We know everything, we assume you might have been unknowingly involved in the case, say us everything it will help you..", But Aron again said in negative about any thing in his knowledge.
One of the officer told us to give us our phones and bag to keep it in along with Aron's and Kevin's laptop as there it was on bed. And said all of us have to go Police Station, and Assured Anderw me and Kevin that we will be dropped back soon after verifications. But all where hell scared as he have to no idea about anything whats happening.

Many officers in civil dress entered our room with Pistols in hand and took us downstairs, Andrew was Infront of me followed by Kevin. And Aron still in room with the seniors.
We reached the ground floor saw lot of eyes staring us near gate, we directly went outside were Police vehicle was Parked, The constables made Me and Andrew sit in middle row with officers both the sides and Kevin at the back. Soon The driver and some officer on front passenger seat sat and started off.

They drove out from our locality and enrouted to some highway, As the nation was locked down there were not a single soul on roads except the traffic officials at mid night.

Three of our heart was pounding hard enough to feel it on the chest, they started steering off from main highway and slowing the vehicle and taking turn to a rough road.

In my mind the scene from the recent encounter was flashing which happened last month where all 4 gang rape accused where shot dead at mid night......
