The next morning, Harry decided today would be the day he confronted Ron. Tom had thanked him for letting him talk to Severus, and the book was safely tucked up in his pocket. .

Draco was in an older headspace, and, promptly told Harry to fuck off when he tried to wake him up. After laughing his ass off, Harry said he'd be back later. Draco went back to sleep.

The Weasleys were all at breakfast, and Harry wasn't sure if it was a blessing or curse. He decided the easiest way to go about this was to put on a big smile and go to introduce himself. Apologize for his behaviour on the train, and start talking to him.

After they were alone, he'd slowly get his answers.

So after three slices of jam on toast, he plastered a smile on his face, "Hello!" He spoke with a light tone, setting himself beside Ron. The boy looked up slightly alarmed, mouth full of food.

"Erm, hi," He managed, after swallowing.

"My name's Harry. Do you want to be friends?"

Ron's face lit up, "Course! I'm just gonna finish my breakfast." Harry nodded, waiting for his newfound friend to finish eating. He could feel Dumbledores pleasure at the head table, and he couldn't help but sneer to himself.

Ron was finished soon, and the two were walking out the hall, shoulder to shoulder. "So, not to be rude or nothin' cause I'm dead pleased, but why do you want to be my friend?"

"I wanted to say sorry for how I treated you on the train. My uncle gave me a rollicking, and I was in a bad mood."

Ron shrugged to that, "Oh it's alright. My mum does that too. Pisses me off. It always seems like she targets me, you know?"

Harry nodded to that, "I sure as hell know that feeling. It's like, to my aunt and uncle my cousin can do no wrong but I'm the scum of the earth."

Ron agreed, "It's like that with me too, but with all of my siblings. It's almost like I'm the child they didn't want."

Harry's heart ached a little at that, because he knew the truth. Your real mother would treat you like the king of the earth.

Luckily, Draco rounded the corner so Harry didn't have to reply. "Harry!" He exclaimed, "Morning." He nodded to Ron, and the ginger boy looked perplexed.

"I'll leave you two to it. I'm going to do some extra potions work with professor Snape if you need me." Harry waved his goodbye, and Ron got a sour look on his face.

"What's got your knickers in a twist?"

"Snape. He berates us for not getting something perfect, but gives his Slytherins extra lessons." He was slumped, and Harry chuckled a little bit.

"He'll give you extra lessons if you ask for it. He's quite a chill guy, but when there's thirty kids in one potions classroom, he's on high alert. Its a very dangerous situation. And if you give him attitude in class while he's trying to make sure you all survive, he'll be pissy with you out if class. He's a butt man, yes, but he's alright if you hold your tongue."

Ron nodded wisely, "Makes sense I guess."

The two boys walked around for half an hour, before setting up camp in am empty classroom.

"So, you have a younger sister?" Harry asked, finally decided to start on the subject that had been the reason for this friendship.

"Yeah, Ginny. She's cute." He had an unwavering amount of love in his tone, and Harry couldn't help but smile.

"You two are quite close in age aren't you?"

"Seven and a half months apart. She was born early or something."
