"I'm actually so hyped to play tonight" Soph says as we get ready for the game.

"Yeah especially because we're gonna crush them" I reply.

"Don't jinx it" she says throwing a hair tie at me.

"Cmon we haven't lost a game yet. Boutta be an easy dub" I say putting my hair up.

Soph finishes getting ready and we head to the game. We warm up and watch the stands fill up with spectators.

"Why's there so many people ?" I ask coach.

"It's the rivalry game, Green, who would wanna miss it?" He responds.

Before the game begins, we get in a line and they announce our name.

I look into the crowd and see Brandon with Austin, my mom with Grayson, and Zion with his friends all sitting near each other.

"Senior, number 25, China Green!" The speakers blasted.

I step out and wave. As I look in the crowd I see Brandon, Austin, and my family cheering. Zion smiles and claps his hands.

The game starts and I start as forward. It took us a while but eventually Soph passes me the ball, I dribble it up the field, pass it to another teammate and she scores.

Time goes by and we're tied 2-2 with only 2 minutes left in the game and rain pouring on us.

"Green! Go in for Martinez" coach yells. I hop up and go into the game.

"YEAH GO CHINA!" I hear Austin yell from the stands. I smile.

"Alright, lets do this" I mumble as the ref blows the whistle.

My teammate throws in the ball, i trap it, pass it, then make a run. She passes it back to me and I dribble past one, two, defenders. It was just me and the goalie. I hear someone running towards me and I boot the ball as hard as I can.

"Goal by China Green!" The speakers blare. "Titans 3, Eagles 2"

The crowds cheers as we finish the last minute of the game. My team congratulations me for scoring the winning goal. I felt like I was on cloud nine. Everyone comes on to the field to celebrate and take pictures after we finished.

"Didn't know my best friends were so good at soccer" Austin says as he approaches us.

"Yup that's alllll China" Soph says as the three of us take a photo.

"Yeah there's no way you could've done that Soph" he says sarcastically.

"Really? Hey, China, I think Austin wants a hug" she says.

"What no"

"Oh yeah you definitely want one" I say as we tightly hug him leaving him soaking wet.

We let go and giggle. I turn around and lock eyes with Zion.

"Yo I'll be right back" He says to his friends and begins to walk towards me. "Nice goal, Green"

"Thanks, Z." I say with a smile.

He looks around and puts his hands in his pockets.

"Uh if you're done here, I actually have something to show you in the parking lot. So if we could.." He asks signaling me to go with him.

"Oh yeah let me jus-"

His face drops.

"China" I hear Brandon's voice behind me.

I turn around to see Brandon holding a sign that says 'will you be the sunshine at hoco?' with a bouquet of yellow sunflowers.

"Brandon.." I smile.

"I told you I would try to make it" he responds.

"Shut uppp" i say hugging him. I turn around to take a picture and see Zion walking out of the field. Guess he didn't want to show me after all.
