"Vilu! Breakfast!" Violetta awoke staring at the same purple floral wallpaper that she had plastered upon her eighth birthday, it was definitely weird to be back, it was even weirder being awoken by the smell of Olga's famous home-cooked breakfast waffles that Violetta loves so dearly. However, she fears that the constant repetition of granola without any yoghurt has made her taste buds bland so that they will not be able to recognise the beautiful blend of flavourings.
She quickly pulled her hair up and chucked a large hoodie over her pyjama top and shorts, it swamped her but she didn't care, it used to be Tomas' and still had a vague scent of him on the collarbone.
"Those waffles smell fantastic Olga!" Violetta exclaimed, smiling at the feast laid out at the dining table that Fede was already scoffing into."I don't think dad would approve of pyjamas at the dinner table, do you?" Ramillo raised an eyebrow at Violetta who sighed, for being dads business partner he always seemed to busy himself around the house instead of the office and had made himself a second father to Violetta and Federico, especially when German wasn't around to tell them off for the smallest of things. "I think I'll survive," Violetta rolled her eyes, Ramillo snatched an apple from the centre of the table before disappearing with a briefcase, Olga went pottering after him with a basket filled with laundry (mostly jeans off of Fede's bedroom floor).
Suddenly, there was a loud knock on the door. "Ah shit, that's my ride, V, let him in, I just need to grab my stuff," Fede quickly rushes upstairs whilst Violetta reached for the door. She swung it open to find the cutest boy that possibly ever lived standing on the other side, why did Federico's friends always have to be so good looking? "Hi, he'll be right down," she smiled self-consciously, suddenly very aware of her messy appearance, she wanted to return to the dinner table but thought it would be weirder if she just disappeared.
"Alright, I'm Leon," he outstretched his hand, Violetta shook it, she could have sworn that the name was familiar from somewhere. "Violetta, I'm Fede's twin sister," she smiled.
"Alright, let's go!" Fede announced, clapping his hand down on Leon's back before the two of them left the house. Violetta sighed to herself, maybe she ought to make more of an effort when answering the door next time.
The rest of the day went by pretty slow, for Violetta anyway.
"You never told me you had a twin sister?" Leon questioned whilst the two of them put their stuff in the back of Leon's new car, his dad had bought it for him ages before his birthday and it wasn't exactly low-key. He offered to drive Ludmilla to school, but she rejected, opting instead for her personal chauffeur.
"I didn't exactly have to, she's been cooped up in Europe for the past six years of her life, she wasn't even allowed to come here to visit," Fede sighed, pulling on his seatbelt. He had wished that Violetta could have come back home for visits but her dad refused, it took a year to convince him to allow Fede go and visit her at all, considering the school had a very strict system and he didn't want Fede interrupting the ways that it shaped young women. He was sort of relieved that Violetta didn't fit in there.
"A boarding school in Europe? I thought our parents just used that as an excuse for us to behave, I forgot that they actually existed," Leon chuckled. His parents were in business with German, so Fede and Leon became friends when it came to charity gatherings and boring dinner parties, it made it a lot more tolerable when you had somebody to talk to. It was strange when it came to school though, Leon put on more of an act at school, pretending to be somebody that he wasn't, sucking up to his blonde-haired bitch of a girlfriend, Ludmilla. Fede didn't understand why Leon did what he did but he supposed that it did no harm.
When they got to the studio, they quickly parted, grabbing their belongings from the back and rushing towards the doors considering they were a little late. "Hey!" Fede announced his presence to Francesca, who also seemed to be carrying a library of books in her arms.
"Leon drove you? Wow, he's really letting his perfect reputation go," Fran laughed, her and Leon used to be good friends until Ludmilla told him that he shouldn't be associating with the lower classes of people. There was a higher archy of those who had money in this school, but Fede didn't care, he'd rather hang out with those he got along with rather than those who treated him well because of who his father was.
Fede's reputation at the studio seemed to follow him around, he was known for being a bit of a player, probably because he had two girls as best friends and people always just thought that there was something there because he refused to date either of them. However, when it came to parties or school events, he was always seen with some new girl on his arm, what could he say, he liked the attention and wasn't afraid to admit it. But, this reputation did mean that he was constantly getting slipped girls' phone numbers or flirted with in the most obvious ways, sometimes it was nice, but mostly it was just annoying.
Today wasn't any different, whispers of him with a new girl at the smoothie place spread like wildfire, little did they know, that this "new chick" was his twin sister and not some new date.
"Hey, Fede! Saw that chick you were with yesterday, well-done man, she's way above any of the other girls in this place," someone claps his back, he just laughs.
"That was my twin sister but thanks," He grabs Fran by the wrist, pulling her through the crowd to find Maxi and Cami who were sitting in the communal area, Maxi was playing Cami a new track that they were working on and Cami, as always, was dressed in an elaborate customised outfit.
"Oh my god! Cami dear, that outfit is so far gone that they don't even have phones to call you back," A squeaky laugh followed the insult, one that everyone was familiar with to belonging to the tarantula Ludmilla. Queen Bee of the studio but nobody particularly liked her, most of them were just scared of her because her parents pay the studio a hefty check each year to influence their daughters education and that includes, who she likes and dislikes, even if the Studio doesn't endorse this bribery, they need the cash to keep rolling in.
"Don't listen to her," Fede laughs as Ludmilla suddenly is swept away in the arms of Leon. Fede stares after them disapprovingly, he does not understand Leon's taste in girls one bit.
