The whole way to the Great Hall you think about what Draco might have wanted to talk to you about. For the life of you, you couldn't figure it out. When you finally got to the Great Hall, you bid Draco adieu and sat with your housemates. After everyone was sorted and all the Hufflepuffs were welcomed into the house, you and your friend (F/n) got to talking. Most of the conversation was about what classes you were taking and what not, but when (F/n) brought up summer, you knew they were going to get weird.

"So, what did you do?" (f/n) coaxed you.

"Not much, i spent time with a friend is all." you respond. You and (f/n) are family friends, they are your Crabb, Goyle, and Pansy, except likable.

"Oh really? Who?" (f/n) asked. To anyone else it seems like a normal conversation but you knew they knew and didn't approve either.

"Just Draco." you say matter-of-factly straightening up to seem less anxious about what (f/n) is going to say.

"How'd you manage that one with the parents this year?" they asked, avoiding eye contact by reaching across the table for butter.

"We said we had a school project." you said shrinking again.

"What class this time?" they said looking at you this time, "Couldn't have been potions, Snape and the Malfoys' know each other," they continued "Not transfiguration, your parents talk with Mcgonagall, you know what that's not what's important right now." they rambled on, "What would your parents think of this? What about his parents, they surely wouldn't like the two of you being friends either! What's next, are you going to get the bloody mark?" they whispered the last word not wanting people to overhear. "What would Sirius and Remus think of that?" they finished. Throughout their rant you had been eating, annoyed at their remarks, but their last comment made you look up.

"Don't" you start in a serious, hushed, angry tone.

"(y/n), I'm sorry, I shouldn't-" they started to say before you cut them off.

"Don't you ever talk about them," you continue "and don't you ever, EVER, use them to try and make me feel bad for caring about him." you finish loudly, standing and leaving the Great Hall. (f/n) knew better than anyone how you felt about Sirius and Remus. Your parents have been a part of the Order of the Phoenix since you were born, you grew up with them around, and they always protected you and made you feel loved. Of course your parents loved you but their work and the Order always came first, Sirius and Remus were the ones who made you feel special, the ones you came out to, the ones you talk to. They have known about your crush on Draco sense you met him. The first time you told them, Remus looked at you and said 'I fell for someone misguided before, and I think he's pretty ok if you ask me.'

What would Sirius and Remus think? They bloody well don't care! You think to yourself, knocking the combination on the barrels in front of the common room and when you climb in you see Draco sitting on a fraying brown armchair.

A/N

I know Sirius is dead in year 6 but i don't like that so he's alive now because if J.K Rowling can make Dumbledore gay after the whole series, i can bring people back if i want. Thank you for listening to, reading? my rant :)
