Chapter 2

I KNEW I had heard that name before. Oh, one of the whitecoats had mentioned it. I then remembered to tell Still that they had left.

“Still? The whitecoats left”

“Thanks” she said. Then slumped down, and went to sleep.

“Um… Total? Who is the Flock?” I asked tiredly yawning.

“The flock…”, he started while wiping his tears, “they are the best people you will ever find. Specially my Akila.” he said dreamingly. I guessed that Akila was someone he cared about.

“I know that they are going to come for me. But when they do, a terrible fait will await. But they are strong, and I believe that they will come.” he said. Then he turned around and around, and sat down. I too sat down, and went to sleep.

It was around two in the morning when I heard it. A heart stopping BOOOOM. I somehow knew it was “The Flock”. I  kneed so that my head was touching the top of the crate. Then I asked if everyone was OK.

“I’m fine” said Still.

Total was just murmuring about how he’d escape. That’s when the door swung open, and out came two whitecoats. They quickly searched the room and came in front of Still’s cage. The pulled her out, and shoved her out the door, disappearing into the bright light that came from it. I just stared without talking. Around two minutes later, there were around 6 kids that walked inside. These kids were different. They didn’t have the ugly white coat they made me wear. Instead the had sneakers, t-shirts, and jeans. The oldest girl came to my cage, and examined me while the others freed Total. The girl then handed me some clothes, and told me to put them on. After seeing  that they fit exactly, she opened the cage. Feeling that this might just be a trap, I stood still.

“It’s OK. We come to help you get out.” she said smoothly.

I then decided it was OK to trust them, and got out. They led me toward a fleet of stairs, that led to the front of the building. Then I remembered. We were on a cliff. You can only get here with a helicopter.

When we came out of the building , which I called the horrible torture chamber, we stopped.

“Up and away guys.” said the girl which I imagined was the leader.
