The moonlight shines through the cracked red blinds directly into John's room. The room would be almost pitch black without the natural light bleeding through. On the walls are posters of Stranger Things, Five Nights at Freddy's, and other popular things. The light of the moon shines over John's eyes, accidentally waking him up. "Hello...?" He asked into the darkness, half asleep. In a few minutes John would be wide awake, this he knew. So for the next few minutes, Johnathan tried drifting off and to his surprise, he was actually able to fall asleep once again. As the sunrise slowly drifts into view so does the house of Wilson, the best friend of John. Wilson awoke from his slumber to see black, only a black void. He's kinda scared so he yells, "Hello..." His greeting echoed long into the darkness. Suddenly he is shot down onto a trail in the middle of nowhere. He looks around trying to make sense of it all but then he hears a snarl behind him. Even though hesitant at first he turns around to see the abs of someone. The abs had strange writing all over them. Wilson slowly made his way up seeing every detail. Wilson saw his sharp claws of his rock-like arms, he saw the giant chain floating around him. And last but not least he saw his face complete with, horn, short curly hair, and long elf-like ears. The demon creature looked down at Will and smirked. "Well if you're Wilson Underwood, I have the right place," The demon said. Wilson- completely shocked muttered, "W-Who are y-you?" The demon took his time debating on whether to answer the question or not, but he came through replying with, "I'm Balgrith," Balgrith snapped. Will didn't see any happen until he looked around. Will was falling into another black void, but just before he entered the void he woke up in a cold sweat.
John turned over and squinted due to the blinding light coming from the window. He looked over at his phone, his phone says 9:32 am. A groan escaped John's mouth and he slumped out of bed. The tired kid made his way slowly down the stairs. When at the bottom he went straight for the coffee pot. But as he arrived at the pot he saw that it was empty. "What the-" He thought. John wanted coffee but he was too lazy to make a cup, let alone a pot, so he went outside.
Wilson got dressed and decided to go straight to John's house after hearing yelling from his parent's room. "Screw that," He thought. Wilson lived only a block away so he was there in no time but he came just in time to scold John. "Really?" Wilson said annoyed. John looked up as the flame to the cigarette finally caught on. John sucked in and puffed out finally saying, "Yo... what up?" Wilson looked downright pissed that he was smoking at 16 so Wilson replied, "Oh nothing much, just waiting for you to go to work and STOP SMOKING!" The young smoker looked at his phone and realized he would be late so he stepped on his cigarette and got in his car, Wilson got in the passenger seat. John started up the car and they both headed off. "Hey, John?" "Yes?" John replied. "When will you give up smoking?" John just shrugged and jokingly said "When your parents stop fighting," Wilson didn't look amused and so John quickly apologized, "Sorry..." The rest of the trip was silent, dead silent.
As John parked the car and both headed in. Wilson smirked and threw a Mint Tic-Tacs container to John, "You'll need it," Wilson said still smirking. The two walked into their job to see it was busy, "Dang..." They both muttered. Just as they both got set up Wilson looked up to see an agent outside. He didn't get a good look but it seemed he was spying on Wilson. John put his hand on his shoulder, "Let's go," He nodded and followed him to the front to start getting orders. The agent walked over to his van and got in to report. "Kid seems unaware of the situation," "Let's keep it that way," The second agent replies. The van starts up and drives off. As hour after hour passes John and Wilson get more and more bored, "but that's what they get for working as a child," they both would always say. The sun was starting to set on the horizon, cars were passing with their brights on and Wilson and John were closing. After the 30 minutes, it takes to close the boys got in the car. They were both exhausted but Wilson swore he saw horns under a bush, from afar. He didn't want John to think he was crazy, so he stayed quiet. The drive back home was mostly quiet until John saw the worried look on Will's face. "Hey, hu- dude you okay?" Wilson sat silent until he finally budged and told him everything. The rest of the drive Wilson was drinking a bottle of wine that he found in the backseat. The entire time he was getting drunker and drunker, and John didn't seem to notice. When they got to the house itself self Wilson was passed out, and before Will passed out he said he wanted to stay the night. So John carried him to his room laid him down, then laid down next to him. John fell asleep happy, knowing his friend was okay and not with his abusive parents.
