The time was drawing closer. It made him afraid, his biggest fear was coming to life...

Spring break was finishing.

Harlequin Byers despised the Thought Of returning to that horrid place. He was bullied repeatedly throughout his freshman year and no matter how hard he tried, his siblings refused to help him. It didn't help that he had a weird name - To which is why he goes by 'Quinn' instead.

He could never understand what people gained by tormenting others during a period of their lives.

And as he sat in his spacious room, the attic giving off a vintage bedroom vibe whilst his siblings housed in the rooms below. All he could do was stare out of the triangular window beside his little couch in the windowsill, his attention migrating to the sky which was darkening by the minutes.

His mind running rampant on how he's going to survive sophomore year of high school.

The smell of smoke and a faint light awoke Quinn from his slumber and had been just woken up, he sat up in his bed uneasily and stared at a tall being, his skin a dark smooth caramel colour, his iris' a bloody red that could send chills down even the toughest of humanity, his hair messily sprawled out down over those prominent eyes of his, he wore a black suit with a red edges, a red necktie and rather expensive looking leather oxfords laced with red laces.

The smaller Male fell back and grabbed the lamp beside him in a desperate attempt to intimidate the stranger in his bedroom. This failed miserably as the being moved towards Quinn, a playful smirk plastered across his face as he tilts his head, his hair falling slightly with the movement "I don't understand why your so shocked, Human. You are the one who summoned me, right?" Is all he says, baffled and scared, Quinn swung the lamp at the being however he caught Quinn's wrist and took the makeshift weapon from him "Who and what are you." Quinn growls, earning a light laugh from the being.

The creature sat a reasonable distance from a still shocked Quinn who was sat in a bundle of blankets "So, when you was sitting by the window, emotionally pouring out your wishes and deepest hopes. You summoned me, I am the first demon prince from the demon realm. Adriel Sajak." He introduces himself, Quinn scowling as he leans forward, clutching his pillow in attempt to calm the fact a Demon is currently sitting in his room - and a hot one at that - "But why would I get the prince of the realm, it just doesn't make sense." He responds, Adriel humming as he leans back "Well, you see, Its not as if when someone summons us we just appear without a say. We go through what they wish. I got your wish and I felt bad. So I chose yours." He explains lazily, Quinn nodding slowly before closing his eyes "So how does this go...?" Quinn asks "I will protect you from anything or anyone you want me to. I will be beside you until your contract of 'high school' ends - in return, in order for me to stay in this realm and any other realms, I need energy to survive. It doesn't kill humans like the myths say, every night it happens, I'll take a little energy and you'll feel weak for a few minutes." Adriel explains before out-stretching his hand with a smile "Do we have a deal." He asks, Quinn hesitating for a moment before shaking the black haired demons hand.

A brief moment passed between the two, before a sharp burning pain spread through Quinn's shoulder, a harsh hiss and wince of Quinn as he places his hand on where the pain was "That's the brand, the contract has been confirmed by my wonderful mother." He smiles before standing and bowing "To save you the trouble of not being able to sleep knowing you have a demon present, ill chill on the roof of your house." Adriel says as he climbs out of the window.
