"Nice shot" Moriarty commented that same look in his eyes but now with a slight sadness. "Why didn't you tell me?" Sherlock said hurt that you went behind his back. You sighed. The time to choose had arrived.
" Thanks, I learnt from the best" you gave Jim a small smile before turning all your focus to sherlock. "Because you would have stopped me, taken me to Scotland Yard and got them to sort it because you don't think I'm capable of that," You said sharply indicating to Terry. Moriarty looked proud of you. " Y/n, I just wanted you to stay safe. He could've killed you." Sherlock exclaimed. " Yeah well I killed him first, and he deserved it." you said you voice unaltered, a lack of emotion upon your face. " You did this to her" Sherlock turned to Moriarty anger finding its way into his voice. Before Moriarty could respond, you snapped. "What the hell are you saying?" you said moving closer to his your fists clenched at your side. "You weren't like this before- before him. you would never have killed someone. That's not the y/n I knew or loved." He said hurt. That line hit you hard. you recoiled for a moment or two before regaining your composure. " So you don't love me? good to know" you said that same lack of emotion in your voice. " Y/n.," he said trying to fix what he just said. " No, the message is quite clear Sherlock," you said sharply. " Did you really think I didn't know you two had been working this case? I knew from day one." you said, Sherlock looked taken back. "Fine, I can explain that if you explain why you whispered his name in your sleep" he said pointing harshly towards Moriarty. now it was his turn to be shocked. "Y/n.," Moriarty spoke quietly. you didn't know what to say. you knew perfectly well what dream he had been referencing. Maybe now it was clear who you belonged with. Moriarty accepts you for you. " You never really stopped loving him did you?" Sherlock said his voice cracking. Moriarty stood in silence. "Maybe I didn't," you said sharply " but at least he has always accepted me for me." Sherlock looked broken again but empathy from you just wouldn't happen. "She's right," Moriarty said softly looking to you as if he was pleading. "Y/n, please don't do this" Sherlock said turning from you to Moriarty then back to you. " It's too late Sherlock. you made it clear. You don't love me as I am. Which means you never will. Moriarty didn't create this, he brought it out of me and I don't regret it. I don't regret any of it. meeting him was one of the best moments of my life and yes recently I've been having trouble choosing between you both but thank you for making my decision so easy." Sherlock began to look empty. " And I believe I owe you the sincerest of apologies Jim. I hurt you so much and reading your message to Sherlock... it broke me. I don't know if I can ever make it up to you but if you can forgive me for what I did, which yes I'm aware will take some time-" he cut your rambling off by swiftly pulling you by the waist his lips colliding against yours. you melted against him in satisfaction like you had found the final piece to the puzzle. you were sure this was the right decision. You broke away with a smile before turning to Sherlock. He looked defeated. " Well, we better be off, nice to have had a proper chat," you say mirroring Jim's words at the pool the first time you left Sherlock. Jim grinned recognising the reference. "Ciao, Sherlock Holmes," Moriarty said taking you hand in his. Sherlock made no effort to stop you this time.
