I glared at Lexi, hoping she'd understand the pain she's causing me. I sighed and introduced her to him.
"Mikey meet Lexi, Lexi meet Mikey." They formally smiled at each other and before I could make an annoying comment, I looked at his friend and was astonished at who it was. In front of me stood Jack, as in used to be my best friend, as in slept with my girlfriend. His face lit up in fear and terror when he saw me. Lexi and Mikey exchanged confused looks throughout the whole realization. Jack must've seen the rage in me rising because he took a step backwards.
I adjusted the rings on my fingers and slightly rolled up my sleeve on the leather jacket I was wearing. Jack ran the to back of the bar where he couldn't be seen, but I was faster and ran after him.
"Well, I've clearly missed something." Mikey said. Both him and Lexi ran after us to see what was going on, and when they arrived, I had Jack pinned up against the wall.
"Sonny, I'm sorry okay? I'm sorry." He managed to say as he was still trying to catch his breath.
"Let him go Sonny, what did he do?" Lexi asked.
I let him go and slowly walked away with my back against him. 3 seconds later I felt no justice so I aggressively turned back around and punched him across the face.
"Dear God Sonny, calm yourself!" Lexi yelled. I raised my eyebrow in disgust at the sight of her and Mikey helping him up. I saw the blood dripping from the side of his mouth, and smiled as he rightfully deserved it.
"It's okay. I deserved it." He spoke while panting for air.
"How do you know him?" I asked Mikey.
"A long time friend."
"Sonny, just give me a chance to show you how sorry I am."
"Shut up Jack." I snapped.
"Ok, someone tell me what's going on." Lexi asked in irritation.
"He slept with my girlfriend." Silence spread.
"I'm gonna take him inside and clean the blood off." Lexi and Jack both left, leaving Mikey with me. I sat down against the side of the building and he sat down next to me.
"Why the fuck is everyone suddenly in Egypt?" I genuinely asked. He shrugged his shoulders.
"You emo or something?" He asked.
"Says the one with the eyebrow piercing and lip bar."
"That was bad ass what you did to Jack, I must admit." He complimented.
"I don't like you. You're rude." I truthfully admitted with no filter. I turned to him seeing him slightly hurt, but he was the kind of guy to just brush things off.
"You don't even know me though." He asked with a hint of child-like in his voice. I gave him a 'go on' face, indicating to tell me about himself. "Actually, I'd rather remain mysterious."
"Don't trust me?" I asked.
"You could be a serial killer for all I know." He teased.
"Hi, I'm Sonny. I've recently had my heart broken and everything in the world seems wrong now." That was the summary of my life right now.
"Sonny, or Ryan?"
"Sonny." I snapped at him once again. Mikey got up and walked away. "Where are you going?"
"Anywhere else. Don't have time for losers like you." I scoffed, and rested my head against the wall behind me. I gathered my thoughts together and took deep breaths. 10 minutes later, Lexi came and took me home. I got her to stay with us for the rest of the week as we were all headed to London the same day, but her flight was an hour later than ours.
When we entered the hotel room, Lexi caught Brook unexpectedly and tackled him the same way she did with me. They hugged each other and then Brook stared into her eyes while still half in the hug. I turned to see Lexi doing the same, staring into his emerald eyes.
"Woah, what is this?" I asked, slightly laughing. They snapped out of their trance and at the same time said 'nothing'. Right.
I strangely managed to get a solid 8 hours of sleep, which at the time seemed rather unusual.
5 days later
"Sonny, wake up! We're late!" Today was the day we left Egypt and went back home. Carter's men planned to stay another month or so, working on the pyramid and we were going to track it from our offices.
"I'm up!" I yelled back. In fear that we would miss our flight I quickly got dressed, packed everything away and was ready to go.
