When he was young, he had hope. He had a family who loved him. He didn't see what could go wrong. He didn't see the warnings or the constant reminders. He followed what he wanted..
"Mama, why can I not go into the forest with the others...?" His young self would constantly ask, tugging onto his Mother's apron as she cooked.
"Why my sweet pea," She would lower down to him, gently stroking his head, "It is far too dangerous for a little sweetheart like you!" She would tickle him, as he would burst into laughter.
But he had still been asked by his friends to join him. Countless times he would say - Oh I can not go! - or - But my mummy said this -... He felt pathetic for sure... But what if it..was just for a little while? He thought to himself, Mummy would not notice if I left for just a second...I will be fine!
(Off to a short start, but it's midnight and I'm tired. haha.)
