Paris

I saw his brows furrow. And then in a second, a smirk appeared on his face.

"So, you're interested in my whereabouts now?" he asked.

I shrugged coolly. "I just want to know."

Very attentive now, he put his plate to the side and rested his arms on the table like he always did.

Shit. Nahuli niya ba ako? Napansin niya bang may hidden agenda ako?

"Since when are you interested in clubbing?"

I was starting to feel panic inside. I don't know. I had always been the type who didn't want someone to see right through me. But apparently, Ezzio seem to do that easily and was in fact, reading me like a book!

I straightened my back, trying to remain unfazed by his question.

"Pag nagtanong, interesado agad?" sarkastiko kong sagot. Nagkibit balikat siya.

"It's you we're talking about, Paris."

Sumimangot ako't do'n lang siya bumigay. He heaved a sigh.

"Fine. Mamaya."

Napakunot ang noo ko. His answer was very short I couldn't help but ask, "Mamaya? As in... mamayang gabi?"

His brow shot up. "Ganoon na nga."

I got confused all of a sudden. I've never went clubbing before pero sa nakikita ko sa mga palabas, usually, during Friday pumupunta ang mga bida, o 'di kaya'y weekends. Hindi ba ganoon in real life?

"But... it's a school night," I stated, unable to stop myself from voicing out my thoughts.

"Yeah.

"It's a school night," sabi ko ulit ng medyo may diin.

I mean, why would they go clubbing on a school night?

I watched him rest his body against the backrest of the chair. His shoulders were shaking from laughing, and he was slightly covering his mouth with the back of his hand, habang tumatawa siya.

Even the people around us started turning their heads to our direction, hindi mawari kung bakit tumatawa ang kasama ko. We were in the cafeteria. But I guess Ezzio just couldn't help himself. The mere sound of his laugh could draw the attention of everyone, it's ridiculous.

"Damn," he said once he'd calmed down. "That's what bothers you?"

He fixed his eyes on me, amused. I glared at him. Umayos naman siya ng upo.

"Paris," he leaned forward. "It doesn't matter."

Dahan-dahan ang pagkasabi niya no'n. It's like he's making sure I hear the words right. Hindi ko naman mapigilang umalma.
