ON HOLD FOR A BIT (Teen Wolf Fan Fiction)

Chapter 1

Here is my first chapter! I know it's not much but I tried to give a little background and include some interesting things overall. I know this chapter is terrible and has quite a number of typos, but as the book/story progresses, I have tried my best to improve my writing skills. Thank you everyone :) x

--Nikki's POV--

As I got down of the plane, the scorching heat hit me like a bus. It wasn't exactly the summer of 2013. It was around September, but since I came from England, this was scorching heat to me. I had just finished my Sophomore year and I was now going to be going to a new school called Beacon Hills High School. I realized I was standing in the middle of the pathway as I felt my puppy tug my jeans a little. I realized I had to keep moving. As I cleared the immigration counters and got my baggage, I headed out of the gate to see my own grandma and my cousin standing there, waiting for me.

My grandma had a huge smile on her face and I could tell she was excited to see me after a long time. I was excited to see her too, I hadn't seen her in more than 7 years! My cousin Samantha, also known as Sam tugged me by my hair and gave me a huge hug. She said she was more than excited to see me as there was finally someone there for her. "Can we eat something? Im starving" I mumbled. "Sure" my grandma and Sam yelled simultaneously. We got into the car as my grandma began driving the car, I was fascinated my grandma still drove and she looked as young as ever. We sped by the cars, Beacon Hills looked nothing like the streets of London, but I was glad to be here. I liked experciencing new things once in a while. We stopped by a little coffee shop on the way home called Beacon Coffee House. My grandma decided to wait in the car while Sam and I got a bite to eat. 

 The man behind the counter gave us a huge grin. I couldn't help but smile as I looked at his strong physique and his bright white teeth. He introduced himself as Boyd. "Hi I'm Boyd." he said. 

"Hi I'm Sam, you have probably seen me around here sometimes, this is my cousin Nikki." Sam practically yelled in my ear. 

"Hi Nikki and Sam, what can I get you girls today?" said Boyd. 

We got a turkey sandwich each and a mocha frappe. As we were leaving Boyd shot me a cute smile and I smiled back knowing that the people of Beacon Hills were pretty sweet. We got back into the car and we headed off for home.

Once we got there Sam yelled asking me if I needed help with my bags. I yelled no, I was old enough to take care of my own luggage. I smiled at myself. Sam was so sweet, she was cheerful as always, her long brunette hair flew as she ran into the house and welcomed me inside. We got into the hosue and I put my liuttle puppy on the leash so that it wouldn't make a mess of the house already. "Shes so cute, what's her name?" Sam asked. I replied "Mini" with a smile on her face. Sam immediately took Mini from me and took her inside the house. My Grandmother lead me inside the house and showed me around the house. She showed me to my room and it reminded me so much of the times I spent here at Beacon Hills when I was a kid. My grandmother knew how much I loved beaches and she decorated the room, making it a beach themed room. The walls were a sea blue colour with white waves, paintings of dolphins were followed by the waves. There were pictures of the beach hung all over the room and the bathroom was also beach themed with real sea shells stuck to the bath tub and the dressing table. I couldn't be happier. the room was so peaceful! I loved the colours white and blue, it reminded me a little of Greece, originally where my mother was from. I gave my grandmother the tightest hug I could manage to give. "Alright Alright" she said. "Now get into your room and rest, tomorrow we're going to go shopping you only have a week till school" she said while leaving the room. 

I quickly jumped on the bed and I didn't realize when I dozed off into a long slumber. I guess it was because of the time difference. I woke up to the sound of Sam calling me for dinner. She knocked on my door and asked if she could come in. "Come in! I yelled. She came inside and asked me to come for dinner. I walked to the dining table and I saw my grandma made me my favourite meal! Ravioli! There was also garlic bread with a whole lot of parmesan cheese. I ate to my heart's content. I felt really sleepy after eating the meal and I thought to my self that I needed to get rest if I was to go on a shopping day with my Grandmother and Sam. I quickly washed my plate and gave my grandmother a good night kiss while waving to sam.

Tommorrow was going to be a long long day.
