Sarutobi Hiruzen was a good Hokage. He may not have the charisma of the 1st Hokage, or the gift over water of the 2nd Hokage; but he had had his own gifts. He was a man with a powerful memorization ability. He managed to learn every single justu in Konoha alone, or at least 99% of them. A few of these justu's after one look he honestly wouldn't even try touching.
The memorization ability was also a god sent gift for his position Hokage. Still all good things have a bad side to them, and being forced to remember those lost wore him down thin. On top of that his position made him hardly able to see his own grandsons except for when they bust into his office unannounced. Seeing them come in and talk to him had been some of his best memories in recent years and the position was just getting plain old. He really needed a successor, one he could truly trust. However after the horrible existence of paperwork was disclosed to him he grew so frustrated with his job he considered just giving the job to Danzo to avoid it. Maybe he realized that to. That's why he kept getting these ridiculous pieces of paper with abstract things written on them. They were paper not laws they couldn't even be considered as such. One example was a paper wanting civilians to have a say in war matters. What would them peace loving idiots have to say on war. Forfeit it?
Thinking about Danzo's newest experiments he couldn't help but sigh. Why was every person he ever met that had an equal standing to him in Konoha evil. His advisers were either extremely selfish only wanting power for themselves. They all also wanted to find ways to enhance a person's power past what should be good to even try for without turning into some sort of hybrid creature. Danzo was especially fond of the latter. Which brought him back to the point of Danzo's newest experiments.
Looking at the photo's of humans with fox like traits created from the residue of the Kyubbi's chakra he couldn't help but sigh. Some powers were not meant to be held by people. Then looking at the picture of a boy with a claw he saw something... Interesting. The boy had the power of the tailed beast cloak. Did that mean their was something like 3 Nine tails now. One in Naruto, one connected to the soul of his lost successor, and a third in this boy. Or was his successor's part brought back to the mortal plane in this boy's body by the shinigami. He supposed he would find out the day he died.
Stopping dead in his tracks dread filled him. Intuition told him the boy could be dangerous to the continuation of his village. However he couldn't touch him for now. He was kept by a certain group of monks that would be nothing but a political problem to try and bypass, or play off the boy's death. "You touch one finger on my villager, Kyubbi vessel with either of your bodies, and I'll make you pay."
It was at this moment a knock came from his door. Walking into his room was his grandson. However looking closely at his posture and actions he seemed different. Casting a silent and one handed bloodline detection justu he confirmed it was his grandson. What had happened to the boy, the words went through his mind in confusion. The only possible idea he had was some type of mind control justu was cast on him, but Yamanaka's stationed around the place had placed passive fuinjustu's into place that allowed only rightly in there mind registered citizens, diplomats, or shinobi into the building.
"Jiji, I want to ask you something." My voice wavered slightly from fear the man seemed to instill into my newer body. My new self who unfortunately couldn't read the status of the man before me to calm my fears.
"I want to know. Why people keep calling me a demon." I didn't mind asking, was a 10 year old supposed to know how to ask indirectly.
The Hokage chilled at the question. Obviously he knew the answer but, it appeared he knew he couldn't share the answer to that question yet.
"Naruto I don't know much except that maybe you prank them to much and it causes them to not like you as much." The smaller words and weird wording pointed to the man obviously talking to a kid who he needed to try and get it's mind off of the question.
