People always say that life is not a competition, and those around us are not our enemies. Bullshit. Those who say this are kidding themselves. Humanity has literally built institutions that tear down mental, emotional, physical and spiritual competencies of beings, with the intention to condition us for the future. Schools, sports, careers, and much more, contribute to the tournament of existence. We are encouraged to be exceptional in all we do, but because no one is perfect it is impossible. Although everyone's goal is to have a succesful life, not everyone achieves it. People who don't do as well as others will not be rewarded with the same benefits and will have to settle for what they get. Wether the challengers in life are those around us or ourselves, there are definitely losers and winners in life.

What are you willing to do to fulfill your dreams? Are there any rules that you will abide to or are constraints of society merely a simulations for you?
