I roll my eyes at his formality "Thank you Marshall." I reponded while a small smile graced my lips . So they couldn't even come themselves. They never have time for me. Oh, don't get m e wrong it's not like I'm selfish is just always a maid or butler, but I'm used to it . I don't even think about it, but it still hurts ,sometimes.
After watching the last episode Season one of Bento . I had started that anime a week ago and I'm very proud that I had finished watching it with all the homework the teachers had piled on top of my head and all the group presentations I knew no one would help to prepare .
I took a shower and made my way to the study . Upon reaching I knocked on the door three times. "Who is it?" the melodic voice of my mother rang through the door.
"It's a me Mario!" I said in the best Spanish accent I had .
My father chucked little bit when he told me to enter.
Taking my cue I turned the knob and took a step inside and taking in my surroundings just in case mom was angry and tried to throw her shoes at me again it happen yesterday when I was making a lot of puns and was quoting songs all day and I made the a sad mistake of remixing Spongebob .
And she threw her heels at me while we were the dining table I would have hit if my killer reflexes hadn't kicked in so i dodged in time and Marshall caught it before it hit the wall it would have still be in the wall that man isn't human I'm telling you.
But what I saw next hit me like a ton bricks,mom's eyes are puffy while she was dabbing her eyes of the piece of tissue and my dad was sitting at of his desk with his hands around my mother's waist, I closed the door and walked over to the desk .No one could ever have guessed she was crying by hearing her voice without seeing her face.
"What's wrong?" my voice shook as I spoke.
"Honey sit down I don't think you can take the standing up."
"Oh..kay" I replied hesitantly "What's up?"
"Hihan we wanted to tell you this from a month about your mother and I couldn't bring our selves to do so ." I squinted my eyes trying to understand where he was going with this .Maybe I was finally getting a younger sibling ,but the look on my mom's face said otherwise.
My dad's hand visibly tightened around my mother's waist ."News that swarm of fighter jets demolished the base Dean was residing in there's no sign of any survivors,they've been searching and their unable to find anything so we are really sorry we didn't tell you sooner honey ".
With those words my whole world came a halt and every thing around me seemed to fade into black and white .
"You're lying! stop lying! You will go to hell if you lie" I broke down into tears "I refuse to believe you."
"Hihan honey I know it's hard to believe."
"No there's no way you going to tell me and obviously I'm going to sit here and soak it in!"
I couldn't bare to look at them any longer so i bolted towards the door I can't believe this is happening I really hoped we could spend some time when he came back before I went to college. After saying this I ran to the door and straight to the parking lot I got in my car and drove to the gate the security then asked where I was heading to.
" Oh I'm just heading to the mall." I lied instantly making sure to smile.
" Alright" he said as hesitantly "At what time will you returning ?"
"Around three hours from now"The lies rolled off my tongue like a my mother language.
"Are you sure?" he asked
"I'm sure."
