Fede unsurprisingly, surfaced quite late on that Saturday morning. So late that everyone else was already seated at the breakfast table, enjoying a nice full english courtesy of Olga's incredible cooking skills.
"Good morning sleepy head, nice to see that you finally decided to join the rest of the word," Olga snarked as he rose from the sofa, still dressed in the same outfit from the night before. He took his regular seat next to Violetta, grabbing his serving as he sat.
"I don't remember why I fell asleep on the sofa and right now, I don't want to know but breakfast looks incredible Olga thank you, wish I could have enjoyed it a little warmer though," Fede laughed noticed that everyone else had almost already finished, Ramillo rolled his eyes before picking up his briefcase, his regular start to the day as always. Olga soon cleared up the table except for Fede's plate.
"You don't remember anything about last night?" Violetta smirked, reaching for her phone. Fede shook his head, knowing that he'd probably done something unbelievably stupid. Violetta quickly opened her camera roll, flashing the picture to Federico. "Well can you at least tell me this girls name?" She laughed, Fede's eyes widened and his jaw dropped.
"That's Abigail, she's an exchange student in my dance class and... she's a little clingy... oh my god, what have I done? She will never stop talking about this!" Fede freaks out, smacking his hand on his head. Violetta can't help but erupt into laughter.
"Well, good luck with that, I'm gonna get my run in before people decide to leave their houses, see you later," Violetta laughs, waving goodbye. She quickly rushes upstairs, grabbing a pair of earphones and changing into her running gear. She used to go on daily runs round campus with some of her roommates and decided that it would be a good hobby to bring back to Buenos Aries.
Running made her feel a lot more free. She felt like her feet were on fire, that if she kept going soon she'd start creating flames, setting the world on fire, a destruction of barriers, of walls and of cages. A true representation of freedom.
She ran along a very simple route, pausing beside a tree to quickly lace up one of her running shoes when suddenly, she felt two arms push her out of the path and onto the grass. At first, she was confused until two skaters passed by, going way too fast to slow down. She laughed to herself before looking up at her saviour, instantly recognising him, Leon.
She swept the fringe out of her face and gave him a small smile, trying to ignore the fact that she probably looked a little beaten and sweaty from her morning exercise.
"You okay? You really should be more careful," he gave Violetta a small but boyish chuckle that she found incredibly adorable. She didn't know why but he just seemed so friendly and charming, it wasn't like their were feelings there though, he seemed like the sort of guy that would be into any girl.
"Yeah, thank you for saving me," Violetta smiled back.
"No worries, but you totally owe me one now," he winked, Violetta couldn't help but giggle. His personality definitely has gotten him into trouble a couple of times.
"Of course, I didn't expect to see anyone out so early after the party last night, Fede has barely made it to the breakfast table," Violetta laughed but the look on Leon's face soon made her think that mentioning the party wasn't the smartest idea. Suddenly, her memory flooded back with images of him and his girlfriend fighting and then him storming off.
"Aha, I needed to clear my head. Breaking up with my girlfriend in front of everyone wasn't exactly the smartest move I've ever made and it will probably define a lot of people's minds about me, but I don't exactly regret it," Leon half-smiled, Violetta perched onto the bench, tapping the spot next to her.
"I don't know, me and Ludmilla were only together for the popularity and the reputation that it held for both of us. I didn't love her, sometimes, I didn't even like her but everyone told me that she liked me and that I couldn't betray her by not feeling the same way, that I should be grateful for what she was offering. I mean, what guy would turn down the chance to go out with the prettiest and most popular girl at school," He laughed to himself.
"Well I don't know many guys, or much about relationships. But I do know that your definitely supposed to like the person that you date, and after watching her freak out like that yesterday, in front of your entire class... it doesn't seem like she loves you enough. I mean, sure, if you get along about everything life would be boring but... the way that she called you out in front of half of your school, seemed a little bit like she wanted you to be embarrassed instead of sorry," Violetta explained, trying to keep Leon smiling.
"You know what? You're right, thanks," He smiled, pulling Violetta in for a hug before getting up. "I probably should get going, but don't forget about that favour you now owe me," he winked, waving goodbye.
Violetta kept running, but couldn't stop thinking about Leon. It was strange, he was hard to shake from your mind... but it wasn't a crush, it was something else and only time would tell what.
