Asta was sitting down at his table, looking down at his uneaten food. He moved it around with his fork but made no move to eat it. He was too distracted. Eren had been taken away by Levi and Asta hadn't seen him since he had blocked up the hole in Titan form.
He was extremely worried for him. Eren was the only thing that had been on his mind. He hoped none of the higher ups did anything to him. If they did... Asta would do something about it. He promised Eren he wouldn't let anything happen to him and he wanted to stick by that promise.
"A debate over Eren? What for?" Mikasa said, making Asta look up from his food. He sighed and pushed the plate away.
Armin saw this and looked at him with worry. "You should eat something. You need to keep up your strength." He said instead of answering Mikasa.
Asta shook his head. "I'm fine. Just tell us about this debate. What's it for?" His own needs were at the back of his mind.
Armin sighed and said, "I'm not really sure, but, it might be about what they plan to do with him."
"Plan to do with him?" Asta clenched his fists by his side. "And what does that mean?"
"It means..." Armin gulped as a cold feeling washed over him, "they may not let him live." Asta froze in his place while Mikasa stood up, her mouth open in shock.
The door to the hall open and three officers came in. "Cadet Mikasa Ackerman, Cadet Asta Fischer and Cadet Armin Arlert. Hop to!" The leader yelled.
"Sir!" Asta and Armin stood up beside Mikasa, addressing the officers.
"You're ordered to attend and act as witnesses at today's deliberation." As they spoke the other cadets in the hall turned to look at them.
Asta avoided their eyes. This meant he got to see Eren again. At least he knew for now, that he was okay.

The door to the courthouse open and Asta's eyes immediately drew over there. He felt like he could breath again when he saw Eren being lead in, no visible injuries on him. Besides the handcuffs around his wrists he looked fine. Asta wanted to go over and talk to him but held himself back, knowing if he moved he would be kicked out.
"On your knees. Now!"
Eren complied and got down, letting the soldiers secure him to the ground so he couldn't move. He looked around the room, his eyes stopping when he saw Asta, standing in between Mikasa and Armin. Almost on instinct, he felt himself relax.
"All right. Shall we begin?" The Supreme Commander, Darius Zackly said as he sat down at the head of the court. "Your name is Eren Yaeger. And as a soldier, you have sworn to give up your life when called to, for the good of the people. Is that correct?"
