Hero
I stand there speechless and shocked as my heart is laying on the floor broken and smashed into millions of pieces. The new year started some seconds ago and for some started with the kiss from their loved ones, but for me it started with seeing my loved one kissing my brother. Catarina kissed my own fucking brother right in front of my eyes. Their lips are moving against each other's, his dirty hands are on her hips and both of their eyes are closed meaning they are enjoying the kiss. The uncontrolled tears run from my eyes as I am squeezing my own fists trying not to go there and break Titan's neck. I don't care about everyone staring at me, I don't care about some random people calling my name, I only care about them. The two people who I thought would never do something like this to me. I was there for Titan whenever he needed anything, I borrowed him money whenever he needed, I let him stay at my place when he went through a break up, I even lied for him once. And Catarina? Catarina is the girl that I basically made sure she won't be homeless, I stopped her ex junky boyfriend from rapping her, I gave her everything she needed, I loved her and I made her feel loved, I even had sex with the woman I hate only to save her from getting expelled, she didn't realize that. She was blind and she only thought of herself, maybe that's just the madness talking from me because I love Catarina more than anything, but I didn't do anything, but literally anything to hurt her on purpose, nor to even hurt her in general. I was supposed to be the one to kiss her there like that. Me and her were supposed to stand on the best view of the fireworks and kiss passionately and desperately like there is no tomorrow. I was supposed to show her my love for her and that she is my only one and will be forever.
When everyone pulls away from their partner along with Titan and Catarina I fastly turn around and walk to the living room and then exit the house at the main door. Some voices echo through my ears and a pair of footsteps follow me behind, but I don't care, I just make my way to the road, trying to go far away from this shitted house. "Hero please wait!" Catarina's voice cracks a bit as she is trying to catch up on me from behind me, but I just keep walking. "Hero, hold on, please, let me explain!" she says and I turn to her madly. "Explain what?? That you shared a new year kiss with my fucking brother in front of my eyes??" I yell letting out some tears and she looks at me crying too. "I didn't mean to! I love you, but you hurt me!!" she yells moving her hands in the air, her movements are not soft nor defined like usually, all because of the alcohol. "And do you know what you did by kissing my fucking brother?!" she crosses her arms in front of her chest and nods her head.
"I do!" "You tear my heart into million pieces, I thought I was the one to make a little mistake, but then you stepped onto the broken pieces of my heart and rubbed the salt on my wound, made me feel like a fool and gave me my pay back, you threw the last tiny pieces of hope I had in the trash and now there's nothing more left from me than just a boy who loved a girl, but did a mistake like the every single human" I said with tears in my eyes and she looks at me now more broken. "I, I am so sorry" she says slowly and I shake my head. "No, forget it, let's take some time, huh?" I say seeming a bit mad and frustrated and before she can answer I turn around and walk to my car fastly leaving only some wind behind me.
