So what if I'm obsessed with the color blue. It's my eye color, its one of our school colors of gold and blue, and Im the only person in Townsville high that has blue hair.
I'm a cheerleader, my hair is cute and peppy. During spirit week and during games I put gold glitter in my hair. I win spirit week every year and I feel like that's my job as captain. Everyone always loves it when I wear something blue,  most of my wardrobe is blue and it looks great on me. I just LOVE the color blue I don't have a problem. And I'm not the only one who has a color obsession Jessica, Class president is all about the color pink, and Mindy doesn't wear anything that's not black. It's just something everyone does. Some people aren't even obsessed with colors, they can be obsessed with styles, like bell bottom jeans, crop tops, or hoodies and sweatpants.

So why is it that when I come back for my senior year, as head cheerleader I get questioned by the principal of why I have blue hair this year. Like he asks me the first day of school every year, and always are trying to suspend me for it!

This is bullshit.

I hit them with the whole thing about me expressing myself and pushing my boundaries and I can't be suspended because of the team, and usually I get away with it as long as it doesn't become a 'distraction' I'm free to walk  the halls.

After I get to chemistry class I'm completely exhausted  and already over the school year, I just wanna get done with it. I honestly can't wait to graduate and get the heck out of this town,  there's nothing for me here.

Then I hear her voice. "Oh my god I absolutely love your dress!!"

Penelope.

She's super-annoying and so energized, but she's also a bitch and gets whatever she wants from her dad. She's the meaning of spoiled, and she's not the kind of girl I like to spend my time with. She hangs out with Jessica way too much, and she's obsessed with her.  I usually try to avoid her or make an excuse to ditch her right here at my locker,  but I'm to exhausted to even think of an excuse, so I give her a half hug and talk into my locker.

"Hi Penelope," I say in a delightful voice, she knows that I don't like her, but she still pretends be friends with me for obvious reasons.

"What's wrong Cat, Your usually always so bubbly."

"They're trying to make me dye my hair a natural color," I say to her, in a agitated voice to tell her to leave me alone.

"Aww but I love your blue hair!" She says, "Everybody does!"

"Everyone but the principal," I scoff.

"It's school rules, just deal with it." Says Jessica.

"Fuck you, Red head." I say to her.

Penelope looks at her, I know she wants to say something or go talk to her, but she doesn't wanna make me mad, when really I don't care what she does. Actually I couldn't care less.

"Red hair, natural color." says Jessica.

"My hair has been blue since freshman year, they can't just kick me out of school for it 3 years later," I say to her.

"Maybe you can write a letter to the mayor, and ask him to change the rules of the school," said Penelope.

"It won't work, it's official and written in black and white."

"Well that black and white is about to be all white, because it's going to be erased from the rules when I'm finished."

I turn around and I hear her stupid voice say something again, "Thanks for the bird,"

I turn around to ask her why she said that, but she was talking to another girl, Mindy.
