"Thank you so much for letting me crash here. It means the world to me."

"It's no problem Izz. You're always welcome here."

"You're the best person I know Lindsae." I said hugging her, letting a tear escape my eye.

Lindsae is the one person who'd been right by my side though it all. Though my shitty high school life, my shitty relationship, and of course my shitty break up with the beautifully dicky Max. 8 years. 16 to 24. We were voted cutest couple at both our proms, turns out he was just a lying, cheating scumbag.

"Hey don't cry, you're not with him anymore. He's a shit bag and the whores he slept with are stupid sluts." She was right. I needed to move on really. "Right I've gotta head to work, you're gonna be ok on your own?" I nodded, wiping away a tear. "Good. There's ice cream in the freezer and American Horror Story box sets on Netflix. She you later." She kissed me on the cheek then rushed out the door.

It was 5am when I turned up at Lindsae's door, 9am when she went to work and 1pm when I'd finished unpacking and crying. She'd let me the spare room in her flat that she shared with her boyfriend, Ross, he was on tour a lot lately though. I decided to go out and get a few photos of the city, seeing as I needed a new job, I better had get portfolio together.

Walking out the apartment block I was struck with the city. People rushing about their day to day lives. One day I'd be like them, one day. I got a text from Lindsae telling me that Ross was back in town and they'd be home late.

I headed towards the Starbucks just up the street, camera in hand, phone in pocket and headphones blasting music. Ross' band were better than I thought. "Watch where you're going!" I was taken out of my day dream when I ran into a tall, blonde man with his hair tied up, a coffee in his hand and his mate (I'm assuming) laughing beside him.

"Don't be a dick George! She didn't mean it." His friend, with black, shaved hair, said.

"I'm so sorry." I told him, running my hands though my long, red hair.

"It's alright love, come on Matty." The blonde man (George?) said quite passive aggressively.

"Bye bye Red head." Matty? Said to me with a wink.

After that dilemma I decided against getting a drink, instead I just walked. I found myself at a public park with a river at the end of it. It was a beautiful place, much like where my Mum use to take me on Sunday's. It reminded me of those good times. How I missed her...

My thoughts were yet again interrupted when my back was hit by a football.

"Shit! George you dickhead!-- I'm so sorry lov-- oh hello again Red head." It was Matty.

"Hi." I said sheepishly.

"Again I'm so sorry....Your camera! Shit!" I looked down to see my camera in pieces on the floor. Must've dropped it.

"Oh shit.... Don't worry about it. It was old anyway." I lied though my teeth. Yes it was old, but it had sentimental value.

"Matty Healy what's taking you so long--" George stopped in his tracks when he saw me picking up my broken camera. "Shit I'm so sorry."

"Honestly guys it's fine. I better be on my way." With that I picked up what I could of my camera and made my way out of the park. I could hear Matty and George bickering about something in the background but I chose to ignore it.

I finally made my way home after getting lost about 5 times, it had got cold and dark. I walked in to, luckily, Lindsae not being home yet. I wouldn't want her worrying. I got to my room and rescued my memory card from my camera, at least I got some photos taken.

I finished uploading and editing photos by 10pm ish then spent another 5 hours putting my portfolio together. At about 12 I heard Lindsae come in with Ross I'm assuming by all the laughing. After the long day I'd had I couldn't get two faces out of my head.

Matty and George.

I knew I'd seen them somewhere before, I just couldn't put my finger on where.
