It was the middle of June when Hisashi was in an elevator in Might Tower. The new number 3 may have been avoiding All Might and any questions he may have had for two and a bit years at this point, but he wanted to do something nice for his sons and their friends. Unfortunately for Hisashi, that meant being interrogated by a persistent brat, an almost senile fool, and the good detective.
He thanked his lucky stars that Nezu wouldn't be there too.
The elevator doors opened and he was met with the face of the nuisance's sidekick, Sir Nighteye. "Musketeer, it's a pleasure to meet you." No scowl, so he obviously doesn't know exactly why he's there. Or about the whole quirk war thing.
"Likewise, Sir Nighteye. I take it you're here to show me where the others are waiting for me?" He inquired with a polite smile.
A nod. "Yes, follow me please."
Hisashi was lead down a few corridors and noted he could see the top of the roofs of the neighboring buildings. Needlessly tall, in his opinion.
"Just in here." They had come to a stop in front of a thick looking door, likely soundproof and heavy to most. "Thank you."
He stepped in and was greeted by All Might seated behind a desk, Gran Torino on a chair next to said desk, and Tsukauchi opposite him. "All Might, Tsukauchi. And..."
A glare was sent his way. "You should know damn well who I am."
He merely shook his head. "Unfortunately I do not." It was true, he didn't know his civilian name. Never really cared enough to learn. "Though I do remember seeing you in pictures with my wife's aunt."
A nod from Tsukauchi confirmed his statements as true, and Gran Torino grumbled out his name.
"Please, Musketeer, have a seat." Came from All Might. So he did, sitting opposite from All Might. "We have a few questions."
"Naturally, I'm sure. Though I hope you remember our agreement?"
"Yes. You answer our questions and I give you a favor, to be cashed in at any time."
"Excellent." He smiled. "No use wasting time, let's begin."
"Agreed. First question, are you All for One?"
"No." The two heroes looked immediately to Tsukauchi, who nodded. He wasn't All for One, not anymore at least.
"But your quirk? How do you have so many?"
"My father is dead." He may have been the one to kill him (in 'self defense', minor details), but they didn't need to know that. "But when he was alive, I was given many quirks." Obviously not by his father, but they were willingly given to him.
Again, All Might looked like his whole world view was being shifted.
"He mainly let me do whatever I wanted and left me alone, but on the rare occasions whenever we would meet things got... violent. We never could see eye to eye." All true. He was physically violent, and as Hisashi aged he started to fight back. Then there were the meetings after the Space had been raided.
"My natural quirk is the exact same as All for One," For obvious reasons, "Though my son's is a mix of mine and my wife's, with a little bit of a mutation in there. It's fascinating, really."
"This... explains a lot, actually." He resisted the urge to roll his eyes.
"But what of your mother?" Gran Torino inquired.
"Also dead, long dead. She was loving until my early teens and quickly became neglectful, deferring to my father's judgement." He wholly blames his father on that too. The bastard.
"When I moved out of home she was the one to cut all contact. I don't know much what happened to her. My father still kept as close as an eye on me as he could," Which wasn't much, really, "But we met maybe once in a blue moon, he was the one to tell me about her death."
They all sat in silence, taking in the information.
"One last question." Said the good detective. "The reason you became a hero was because he died, right?"
"I've always wanted to help people." He had to word this one carefully. "But because All for One existed, I could not become a hero. So when I was finally free of him I decided to be a hero. Easiest way to save people, and I have many quirks that are useful for such work as you've seen."
All Might sighed. "Thank you for your time, Musketeer."
"It's no problem, really." He got out of paperwork, so it was fine with him. "I'm happy to clear these things with those in the know." Maybe All Might will finally stop looking at him oddly.
It was now a week until Izuku's birthday and they had just received word from Todoroki Rei that her husband would be out of town next weekend. They were set to arrive with their things on the Saturday, so they made celebration plans for the Sunday. It was finally time to call in that favor.
"Musketeer?" All Might's voiced called as he picked up his phone. "Is there a reason you're calling at...8PM on a Monday?"
"What is your schedule looking like next Sunday? I want to call in my favor."
