Alex knew the job of being the devil's right-hand man wasn't going to be easy, but he wasn't expecting to catch himself crushing on his boss and best friend. Alex nervously runs a hand through his strawberry-blond hair, letting out a soft sigh as he sits at home thinking about Lucifer. He looks over at his phone, wondering if he should call him to see how he's doing. He hesitates but picks it up, unlocking it and going to his contact list, his finger hovers over Lucifer's name for a few moments before pressing 'call' and holding the phone to his face as he waits for the devil to -hopefully- answer.
Lucifer is startled by his phone ringing, he looks at the caller ID and lights up when he sees it's Alex. "Hello?" The devil answers, sounding happy. "Hey Luci, how are you doing?" Alex asks, smiling to himself when he hears how happy his friend sounds. "Oh, I'm doing wonderful, especially since now I get to talk with you." Lucifer replies, Alex can feel his face heat up a bit. "Well, that's good to hear, I actually called to ask if you wanted to hang out sometime, y'know, outside of work like we used to?" He asks, feeling nervous and hoping Lucifer accepts. "Like a date?" The devil asks, a smirk coming across his lips as he does, it's always been painfully obvious how much Alex likes him, it also doesn't help that he's so easy to tease about this kind of stuff. "I-uh, well...um..i-if you wanted it t-to be.." Alex says, barely managing to get it out, his face is bright red and he can tell Lucifer is smiling. "Okay then, it's a date. When are you free, my dear?" Lucifer asks, blushing slightly, Alex takes a moment to mentally check when he's free. "Uh...im free this Tuesday if that works for you." He says, honestly excited about this. "It sure does, I'll see you then, Alexander." The devil says, hanging up after doing so. Alex sits there setting the phone down next to him and covering his beet-red face with his hands, feeling happy and anxious all in one. He hopes he doesn't mess this up.
