The Curious case of Paige Keystone

Paige Keystone, born on March 31st, taken care of in an Orphanage on Mulberry street after her parents left her, she was a happy little girl, one who showed smiles to everyone around her, she was brighter than the sun, her best friend and her caretaker loved her. Mrs. Evergarden, her care taker, loved her energetic glow. But she had a problem, a rare condition, more of, something that changed her life forever

"Ms. Paige, you have a rare disorder called Chronomadiumus"

"W-what doc?"
Fear enveloped Paige immediately, her heart pounded by the second, she felt as if the world were on her shoulders, she had never heard of anything like it before, though she was 10, it was jarring news to her

"Is it a bad thing doctor?"
Mrs. Evergarden shakily replied, with worry in her widely-opened eyes

"It is non-fatal, luckily, but we don't clearly have a full grasp of its understanding, and only 14 cases have been approved, all we know is that on the strike of 12:00 on your 18th birthday, you will disappear and be transported into a new time period, and this will effect you every 5 years onward, there is no cure for this, as we are still researching this fascinating disorder"

Paige was struck with fear, with sadness, she began to cry, from small tears to big streams, she began to cradle up in a ball, her stream of tears getting bigger and wider by the second. Mrs. Evergarden walked to her and hugged her, trying to ease her pain, but she too felt troubled, she felt sad, she felt hopeless, she really wanted to take care of her, but she knew with this condition, it was mere impossible. The doctor could only watch them cry as he escorted them out

"Paige! Paige you're back! oh my god how was the trip to he doc?" Her best friend shouted as she entered the door to the orphanage

"It didn't really go that well, I don't think we can even see each other anymore"

"Aww" he said in a sad tone "But like, we'll still be friends right?"

"Yeah" She whispered shakily

The misfortunes of Paige never stopped, after three months she got the horrifying news that her best friend was chosen to be adopted by a family, she sat on the bed of her room, she stared blankly at the wall, she felt dread cover her body, she felt cold, she felt shivers down her spine, she felt empty

"Paige!" He bursted through the door

"WOAH! you scared me!"

They bursted out laughing, moments like this, no matter how small, always cheered her up, she learned how to take care of every second time had to offer her

"Paige, Im gonna miss you" he said with a frown that spanned across his face

"Aww come here" Paige hugged him as hard as she can, trying not to let go, but she knew she couldn't have stopped what was inevitable

"Oh yeah by the way! give me your neck"

"Huh? wh- ouch ouch stop pulling"

"Sorry"

He scribbled a small drawing, what looked to be the moon with some flowers on below her nape
