Gwen's POV

On a Thursday, at precisely 12:26pm, during period 4, I discovered my best friend, Mollara Anita Kendrick AKA Molly, laughing in the hallway.

With a guy.

Now it may be nothing to you but trust me when I say, she never socializes with anyone else that easily- yet this guy bumps into her in the hall and she is practically cackling.

Not attractive at all, Mol.

But one thing that caught my attention was the fact that it was during class and it seems as though she has been there the entire period with him.

Molly never skips class.

So that is why when I saw this occuring, I had to figure out what might be going on.

By spying on them from inside the janitor's closet.

"... So did you get this stuff?" The guy asked, sounding completely serious all of a sudden. I pushed the mop to the side as it hit my head again.

"I may have... Forgetten it at home?" Molly replied, sounding guilty.

The guy, though, wasn't taking it. "Molly! We don't have time for this!"

"Alex, we have a whole month so calm yourself." Alex, huh? I thought to myself as I pressed my ear further to the door, my hand lightly on the doorknob. I was ready to run as soon as they left. "Just come over to my house tonight and you'll get it."

"I have a game tonight. I can't." Alex said, sounding annoyed now. I could practically hear Molly rolling her eyes. She hated being rushed with things, that I knew.

"Well then, you'll get it tomorrow! Stop worrying already."

"I'm sorry. I'm just anxious to get everything done and over with."

Molly sighed loudly. "I know but you have to be patient. You know I don't tolerate being rushed."

"But this is an important day and I just want everything to be perfect." Alex said, determined. I heard something move and then Molly spoke softly, as if talking to a child.

"And it will be." A pause, then: "And if something goes wrong, then it's the thought that counts."

Alex scoffed angerily. "Way to make me feel better."

"You know what would really make you feel better?" Molly asked. My hand tightened on the doorknob. I didn't like that question. What if Molly was secretly dating this Alex guy or worse, screwing him.

"What?" Alex questioned but there was a hint of amusement there. My eyes widened and I almost opened the door in surprise but managed to stay in place.

"You remember the rules, right? You can't tell anyone about this. Got it?"

"Understood. Now give me some!" Laughter and footsteps were all I heard as they ran down the hall together. I waited a moment before slipping out the janitor's closet

I gulped, realizing that there is only one place they could be heading to.

The make-out room.

There was an empty room down the hall in this school that used to be the music room but once the school lost budgeting for it and cut it out, the room became people's make-out place. It was the skip out room where you just skipped class and hung out there but too many couples there ruined it.

And the hallway Molly ran down in was the exact hallway The make-out room was located around the corner.

"What should I do?" I asked myself out loud. I could just go in there and get Molly out of there while giving her an earful but that would mean skipping class and knowing me, I would get caught real easily.

Before I could make up my mind, the bell rung loudly and students poured out of classrooms and into the hallway. My eyes widened and I yelped at the sight of a crowd of nineth graders coming my way.

Quickly, I dodged out of the way and hurriedly rushed down the hall, pushing through the hallway crowd of high schoolers all the way to the stairs. I sighed in relief as I spotted my other friend, Leon, leaning against the wall by the staircase.

We always met at this exact very spot everyday to go to our class that we share together. Leon looked confused as he spotted me alone. He knew Molly was always with me no matter what.

"Where's your partner in crime?" He asked as I approached him, breathless from the struggle of the crowd.

"I just saw-"

"Hey guys, sorry I'm late." Molly appeared beside me with a grin on her face. She was practically glowing with happiness and it was making me even more worried and angry at her. Secrets as dirty as hers was not to be kept from me. Though, I do not know what it is exactly, it must be bad for her not to tell me.

She tells me everything. And I mean everything. Even things I don't want to know and will not repeat ever again.

"Where have you been, young lady? Make-out room with your new boyfriend?" Leon said with a laugh. Molly laughed along, too, shaking her head.

"Nope. Just got caught with the student traffic jam. There was an almost fight by my locker so you know what kind of crowd that drew in." Molly said, rolling her eyes. I scowled at her. LIAR!

"Well, we should get to class before Mr. West catches a fit in front of the class if we're late."

"Not another one, please!" Molly exclaimed, laughing as Leon led the way up the stairs. Molly seemed to finally sense my glare and furrowed her eyebrows at me.

"What?" She questioned, confused. I gritted my teeth.

"I'm on to you, Mollara Anita Kendrick." I hissed as we entered the classroom. Instead of a look of surprise or guilt, she just stared at me as if I had three heads.

"Oookaayy theen... Are you high?" She asked as we reached our seats, taking hers as quickly as she could when the late bell sounded. I scowled at her before crossing my arms and dropping myself into the chair.

"No." I said flatly, glaring at the front of the room now as she shrugged her shoulders behind me.

"Whatever."

"Class, take out your textbooks and turned to page 257..." I tuned the teacher out and opened my book to the page. I glared silently at the window nearby, racking my brain as to how I could catch Molly in the make-out room and demand answers as to why she has kept it from me.

Though, I wasn't exactly sure what or who the secret was about, it still annoyed the heck out of me that she wouldn't tell me.

Suddenly, my imagination started to kick in. What if Molly was actually secretly a prostitute and that's how she gets all her expensive looking clothing? Her style has been upgraded recently all of a sudden. Or maybe she's doing drugs? It explains so much about the stuff and 'making Alex feel better' thing. It also explains why she looks so happy all of a sudden.

It was math class and she looked happy. She's never happy in math class because it either bores her or depresses her.

She's definitely dealing drugs.

I clenched my fists. I had to know what the secret was. Even if it was as bad as doing drugs and prostitution.

I absolutely had to know.
