i wake up early the next morning and head to the kitchen. i look around in the cabinets and notice that they have some tea. i go back to knock on yuta's door to ask if i could have some but he's knocked out. i suddenly hear footsteps behind me.

"did you need something?" taeil asks while rubbing his eyes.

"um yeah i was just wondering if i could have some of the tea that's in the cupboard." i pointed to the cabinet.

"oh yeah of course! whatever is in there or the fridge is up for grabs." he smiles.

"thank you." i nodded.

"so how long have you known yuta?" he tries to start up a conversation.

"well i moved schools my freshman year of high school and he was my neighbor so we have always been pretty close, then i met the guys through him!" i smile.

"ahh were you and him like ever a thing?" my heart sinks again just making me realize that he doesn't even remember being friends with me much less our relationship.

"oh no." i laugh out loud. "our relationship has always been a platonic friendship nothing less nothing more."

"oooh okay i see." he nods. "also yuta sleeps pretty late so it may be a bit before he wakes up."

i nod and smile to him as he takes off to his room.

the tea is now hot and i pour it into a mug and go take a seat on the balcony. i then placed my earbuds into my ears and just sat there enjoying the music and the view in front of me.

i feel my phone buzz and i look down at it and i see a text from luca.

hey loser i found your year book.
i will mail it off tomorrow if you want it there in person lol.

i take my earbuds out and go to knock on taeil's door.

"come in!" he shouts.

"hey i just wanted to let you know my roommate back at home found my yearbook and he said he would mail it off tomorrow. he paid for expedited shipping so it should get here next weekish." i smile.

"oh wow thank you so much! i wonder who all i can remember once i see that book." he trails off. "it's been four years, i think i can at least try to remember some people."

"yeah well i'm going to head out, i have to find something to wear to the party tonight, i have no party clothes." i reply while slightly laughing.

"okay do you want me to take you? since yuta is sleeping?" he kindly offers.

"if you don't mind maybe we could pick up mila on the way so she can help me." i suggest.

"yeah let me call her and ask what she's doing." he says as we walk out to his car he hangs up the phone and says, "she said she will take a rain check she's with her family right now but for us to have fun."

"okay thank you again, i appreciate it."

we sit in the car for a bit then he heads towards the mall. i tell him that he didn't have to say i didn't want him to feel like my chauffeur. he insisted on staying, making my heart feel a bit funny.

we walk into the first store and i immediately find this black dress, it wasn't too much or too little. it fit just right.

i liked it enough to not bother trying on anything else or going into any other store. i come out of the fitting room. i give taeil my card and asked if he could go pay for it while i ran to the restroom and he said of course.

i am walking back out onto the main floor when i hear the salesclerk telling taeil, "your girlfriend looked beautiful in this dress. black is definitely her color!" she smiles very big. i smile also as memories come back.

"ah i didn't get to see it but i'm sure she will definitely appreciate the compliment!" he waves off good bye and walk towards me.

he hands me the bag and my card, i thank him as we walk out of the mall and walk back to his car. i remember his favorite cafe that we used to go to all the time before everything happened.

"hey why don't we go to the cafe that's across from yuta's?" i suggest.

"that's my favorite cafe in seoul, wow no one i know likes this cafe much less coffee or tea." he tells me, now he was excited.

"it used to be an old friend of mine & i's favorite coffee shop before i left!" i smile.

we walk into the coffee shop and there's a girl who i was really close to who worked here. she knew the situation because i would come here and cry right after everything went down.

she greets us before she even looks up, and as soon as she looks up runs from behind the counter to hug me.

"nova!"

"cindy!" i laugh while hugging her back.

"what are you doing here? i thought you were in america for school?"

"ah well i'm only here for break, so twoish months. i'm staying with yuta, remember him?"

"ooh how can i forget him. anyway what would guys like today? the usual?" she looks at taeil and he smile and nods. "and nova i already know what you get!"

"i'll talk to you guys later have fun! and nova you know where to find me!" we walk out of the cafe and walk back to his car.

"thank you for driving me around! i definitely owe you taeil." he shrugs it off as if it was no problem.

"there you guys are!" yuta yells as we come back in.

"she had to find something to wear for jae's party tonight." taeil tells yuta and yuta just says mouths 'ooooo' and gives me an eyebrow.

i look at my phone to see that it is already 6:30 and i decided that it was time to get ready. i put on the dress and throw an oversized cardigan on and began to do my hair.

i can't do makeup for the life of me. so i'm not going to try to attempt today. i go and wait in the living room for the boys to get done. finally they both come out and we're on our way to the venue.

as we walk i see all the guys and they all run towards me.

"what the fuck." jaehyun said out loud. "why didn't you say you were coming back?!"

"well i was coming for summer break and it just so happened to be your birthday so here i am!" i put my hands up to pull him into another hug and he whispers behind me.

"taeil still doesn't know anything? even after he saw you?" he asks with hope in his eyes.

"sadly no. he just looks at me weirdly sometimes. but that's what i expected." i lightly chuckle.

the night goes on and everyone is having a good time, while we were in the car before arriving i had volunteered to be the dd that way taeil and yuta could enjoy themselves.

i am sitting at the table when taeyong comes up to me.

"you know he didn't remember me either? we just started over ask friends after everything happened. it sucked though cause we had so many jokes and memories together."

taeyong was taeil's best friend. so taeyong understood the pain that i had felt when tae couldn't remember me.

"yeah it sucks but i've been okay though. just focusing on school now. i'm convinced after that whole thing happened that love isn't for me anymore." i smile but look down.

"what do you mean love isn't for you anymore?" a voice comes from behind me, i turn around and it's tipsy taeil.

"oh it's nothing, but are you guys ready to go home i'm tired now." taeil nods and yuta is saying his drunk goodbyes.

we get back home and they're both okay enough to walk to the stairs and go to their rooms themselves. so i lock all the doors and head to my room to finally fall asleep.
