ext. decimated throne room - night
They walk near a huge building that has been burned down with several thrones still standing. ZEUS is standing in the middle of the room, back turned to them.
ZEUS
It was sad to see your throne burn. Now, it just seems oddly poetic.
ZEUS turns and looks at the two.
ZEUS(CONT'D)
Ah. I see you brought your little friend. No matter.
ATHENA
How could you kill him?
ZEUS
Which one?
ATHENA is startled for a moment.
ATHENA
Your brother. How could you kill your own brother?
ZEUS
He was lost. All that mattered to him was to get out of the ocean. Which was always peculiar to me, it's the ocean, more to rule there than out here.
A shadow can be seen dropping in from behind AGATHE and ATHENA. It creeps in closer and closer.
ZEUS(CONT'D)
More interesting creatures down there too. Did you know certain sharks can harvest flesh from a fish without killing them?
It can now be seen as a skeleton with a sword in his hand creeping towards them.
ZEUS(CONT'D)
I don't think I can say I have shared much in common with a fish, but every second Poseidon was alive I felt as if he was the shark biting me.
The skeleton gets closer.
ZEUS(CONT'D)
Sometimes, the fish must fight back, and show the bottom feeder, who's boss.
ZEUS raises his sword. The skeleton raises his sword behind them.
ATHENA turns with fantastic quickness and knocks the skeleton down with a bash to the chest with her shield. It stumbles back. ZEUS throws a lightning blast aimed straight for AGATHE, she cowers down. A shield blocks it. ATHENA stands.
ATHENA and AGATHE stand back to back. The skeleton stands up, ZEUS is still regaining strength.
ZEUS
I brought a friend, for your friend. My brother gave me him.
EXT. DECIMATED THRONE ROOM - AGATHE MOMENT
The skeleton aggressively charges AGATHE. She sidesteps. She jumps up and lands hard on the skeleton flattening him. She kicks him repeatedly with her legs. One after another just pummeling her foe.
EXT. DECIMATED THRONE ROOM - ATHENA MOMENT
ATHENA jumps at ZEUS and they proceed in spear to sword combat. ATHENA jabs with her spear which is blocked by ZEUS' sword, quickly.
She bashes her shield into the interlocked weaponry which sends ZEUS flying backwards.
ATHENA charges him again and bashes him with her shield, he falls back once again.
He catches himself and flings a lightning bolt.
It hits the shield but he continues to push the envelope. His pride will be his undoing.
ATHENA takes a step.
Another.
And another.
She uses all of her might to bash the sword with her shield but it shocks ZEUS and the sword is knocked into the air.
ZEUS is completely drained of power as he stares helplessly as AGATHE leaps into the air and grabs the sword and lands on her spider legs.
AGATHE points the sword at ZEUS and ATHENA points her spear.
ZEUS
Do it then. After a while, you will understand the vision.
ATHENA lowers her spear. AGATHE doesn't drop anything.
ATHENA
No. I am no animal. I will keep you alive for you to watch your self-proclaimed prophecies go unfulfilled.
ZEUS
No prophec-
ATHENA bashes him hard with her shield and knocks him out.
She bounds him.
