Bakugo's POV
The mall was busier than ever, school break had started and it was swarming with people ranging from kids with parents, to teenagers with friends. Katsuki Bakugo was working the cash register of Hot Topic, as this went on. He was sat on stool behind the counter with earphones in, sure there were people in the shop, but most of them were just browsing around. Katsuki's crimson red eyes were focused on his phone screen, scanning the news report about a villain attack not far from UA.
The sound of people moving in and out of the shop didn't go unnoticed by Katsuki, who was still reading the article on his phone. When he looked up to see if anyone was actually in there, he felt his phone vibrate, signalling his shift was over.
As he walked out the back where the staff room was, he changed into his black shirt with a white skull on it. He walked back out and exited the store, entering the crowds of people outside.
He huffed walking out towards the car park, almost getting trampled by a few people not paying attention to where they were going.
He shoved his hands in his jean pockets and walked with his head down.He walked on the sidewalk outside of the mall's car park, and could feel the scorching hot sun blaring down on his neck.
Katsuki's eyes never left the pavement he was walking on. When he reached the corner of the street, he looked both ways before crossing the road to the other side. Hearing his stomach growl, he sighed before looking around on where he was. He knew he wasn't far from his apartment, so he decided to push through, and continue his walk home. Just before he reached his apartments building, he saw a group of people circled around someone, but as he squinted his eyes, he noticed they were kicking something. He quickly scurried across the road, to catch a glimpse of red hair.
"Hey" Katsuki growled, catching the groups attention, including the boy they were hurting. "Leave him alone" He added, his signature scowl on his face.
"Or what?" One of them chimed in. A smirk spread across Katsuki's face, as he held out his palm setting off explosions. The group scattered leaving the boy with his saviour. Katsuki got a good look at him, a bruise forming under his left eye, a cut lip and a possibly broken right arm. The thing that caught his attention though was his sharp shark-like teeth.
"Thanks" The boy said, giving him a closed eye smile, and getting up off the floor holding his arm close to him. Katsuki looked at his arm then back at him.
"Tch, don't make a big deal out of it" Katsuki said, looking at the floor. Turning around, he was about to walk away. When he felt a hand on his shoulder.
"It was so manly though! I wish I was brave like you!" The red head, told the ash blonde. Katsuki looked over his shoulder at him. Blinking a few times too register what he said, a grin spreading across his face.
"I'm Eijiro, by the way. Eijiro Kirishima" He added, giving him another closed eye smile.
'He sure is very... What's the word? Cheerful? Nah that's an under-'
"I should probably get this checked out. See you. Thanks again for helping me" Kirishima said, walking away from Katsuki, who shook his head.
He crossed back across the road to his apartment building, he entered the building, and ran up the stairs to the fourth floor. He put his hand on the door knob and twisted the handle to make sure he locked it before up he left for work that morning. He inserted the keys in his hand into the locked door, and turned them.
He quickly stepped into the cramped apartment that he called home. He kicked the door shut behind him, and walked towards his couch throwing his keys onto the coffee table and walked towards the kitchen to get something to eat.
He opened his cupboards but there was no food in there. His brows knitted together. Shutting the cupboards, Katsuki then turned to the fridge. He opened the fridge to find only a bottle of water.
Sighing annoyed, Katsuki walked out to the lounge room, grabbed his keys from the table along with a shopping bag.
He opened his door and shut it after he stepped out. He locked the door and headed down the stairs.
Katsuki set off to get food to last for about two days.
