Juliet POV:

I stood in a corner like a lost sheep holding a glass of emptied wine, feeling pathetic and out of place in this spot on and perfect square party..  As a friend I knew he was rich and always have a few bucks in his pockets but never imagine as hell as this, surprise would be a mere word with this big revelation.

And ever since I have being here everyone is giving me the vibe of Crazy rich Asian movie.. you know the gossips, the stares, the high society.. the prodigal smiles..

When I first saw the movie I thought those things only happens in movies but here we are in a much worse situation.

" Hey...." Someone poke out of nowhere, one of my clients whose cheesy attitude made me punch him at the end of our fake date.

" I am still the lady who hate anything this close to me.." I whisper under my breathe audible to his ears as he narrow the gap between us.

" Relax all I am doing is saving you from the boredom.. and I keep my hands of women who punches.."

"Ummmhhh.... Do you mind if I borrow my lady for a second..."

Romeo appeared saving the day clearly disapproving  what was going on between us. He lead me away and make a way through the crowd.

" Now smile that's my Nana.. please be good ..please..." he plead under his breathe smiling with thirty two teeths as I smile back gearing up for the drama.

" Nana.. met my JoJo.. "
He introduce me to her his hands on my waist giving me chills and heart having bumpy beats.

" Oh beautiful... You are JoJo... I have heard so much about you.. " she greeted in an old classy lady vibe and she could still win a heart with that smile. And  just like everyone own a weak spot,  she was an HD camera examining me from my head to toe, I hate people whose jobs is to judge you when they know nothing about you .

"Impressive but can she talk..." Her remarks drag me off my thoughts as I turn to Romeo whose eyes were urging me to join the conversation.

" Come on Nana this is her first time meeting you.. give her a little time will you.." he came to my rescue giving me the time to pick my act together, signalling me it's hihigh time to be professional.

" Sorry if I was being rude you see Roro talk about you so much that it seems like I know you way before we even met and I am glad that I am not disappointed.." I finish the speech with a smile and earning back some.

" Diplomatic much.. and a talker.. but I like you..." She answered her eyes never leaving mine.

" Nana... My friends haven't met her.. can I take her..".

" No problem.. and make her accustom to the rules before your mum meets her... "

" Sure.. Nana...."

" My god Roro I have being looking for you... And the lady here is ... "

Before we could escape from Nana another high fashioned lady block our way,  her smile were menacing and evenly wicked so to say if I were judgemental like the other guests

" Mum... This is JoJo..... And".
There was a crack in his voice, his confidence dancing somewhere in the party  as his eyes met mine I can fairly say I see the scare for life.

" Oh you should bring her for dinner often... And sweetheart where is Clara.. this is a good chance to give good impression to her parents..  look for her..." She pull his son away from me throwing me that fake smile and clearly disappointed that someone like me was close to his son.

" Don't worry I am on your side... " Nana said with the warmest smile which actually was comforting giving the situation I am in.

" So what's your favourite food..." She questions holding my hands leading me to the food table.

" I am not a picky eater... Anything that keeps the hunger away..." I answer just to realise that it wasn't so classy on my part to say that.

" I mean soulite forever taste best in my mouth.." I added.

" Mine too.. and guess what you can find the perfect soulite here..."

She was kind to tag me along and not leave me on my own situation and  making me look like the lost sheep again  and what's better than bonding over your favourite food.

Romeo POV:

". Does she even have a chance against me.." Clara commented handing me a glass of wine.

" Impressive she won over the woman I have being trying to impress all this years.. I am jealous that I never had that type of relation with your Nana.." she added studying the drama unfolding before her very eyes.

" I only settle for the best... " I responded with the lingering taste of wine making it more sweet till my eyes land on the furious eyes of my mum fixed on me.

" This morning your mum assured me that I will be the first and last woman in your life, didn't know that you were hiding your wild card.. "

" Trust this one is a winning card.."

" Nah.. the game has just started.. it's too early for any prediction.. I am keeping the option of our date
very much open.."

" Good luck with that.. and I will have to excuse myself, she doesn't like waiting you know girls stuff.."

I answer enjoying every bit of the moment, she had played every card to corner me down and this time my wild card has turn the tables on her.

Watching her and Nana giggling and laughing and being comfortable  was rewarding I don't where will this end up and what will be the consequence all I know is she is the girl who will drag me out of Clara's pit and pave the way to my freedom.
