Layered Envy's Birthday

Happy 24th Birthday, Lillian!

I usually put Layered Envy's birthday for November 29th, since that's when her song Solitary Envy came out. But my good friend Tammy180 put her birthday for April 1st, which is today. I really wanted to do this little birthday one-shot. Hope you enjoy!

The date was April 1st, 2020. It was a beautiful morning. Lillian Flores [Layered Envy] was woken up by the sound of her phone buzzing. She opened her eyes and picked up her phone. It was a text from her parents saying "Happy birthday, baby girl!" She smiled. At least her parents didn't forget about her birthday. Today she was turning 24 years old. She put her phone back where it was and got out of bed to get dressed. When she got done with that, she went downstairs and ate some breakfast.

Layered Envy: I hope the bakery won't be as busy today.

After she ate all of her breakfast, she picked up her car keys and headed out.

When she got to the bakery, she saw that the bakery was empty. No cars in the parking lot either.

Layered Envy: Maybe Hansel and Gretel are running a little late.

She got of her car and went inside the bakery. She turned on the lights.

???: Surprise!

Lillian's eyes widened. The bakery was appropriately decorated for a birthday party. She also saw Hansel Strever [Patissier Hansel], his twin sister Gretel [Patissier Gretel], and their foster mother Strawberry Witch.

Layered Envy: Wow, guys. This is amazing. I thought you guys would forget about my birthday.

Patissier Gretel: No way!

Patissier Hansel: We did this all for you.

Layered Envy: I'm touched, you guys.

Strawberry Witch: You're going to be how old again?

Layered Envy: 24.

Strawberry Witch: Right. I knew that.

Patissier Gretel: So, are you ready to meet some customers?

Layered Envy: You bet!

The day went by slowly. Everyone that Lillian knew gave her either a present, a birthday card filled with money, or both. Two of the tables were full of presents and cards.

???: Wow. You sure have a lot of stuff to open.

Lillian saw her boyfriend Hansel walk up to her.

Layered Envy: Oh, yeah. Everyone that came here today gave me something. William Nilisan [White Edge] and his brother Paul [School Uniform Parka], Ciel and his family, even Beckett Pointer [Polar Bear In Love] and his girlfriend Deidra [Dreaming Panda] gave me something.

Patissier Hansel: You have a lot of people that love coming here.

Layered Envy: I guess. Where's Gretel?

Patissier Hansel: She's in the kitchen. She's trying to teach our foster mother how to cook.

Layered Envy: Oh. Let's just hope she doesn't ruin it.

Patissier Hansel: I...have something I want to say to you. Besides happy birthday.

Layered Envy: What is it?

Patissier Hansel: Can we head outside and talk? I don't want Gretel or Strawberry knowing yet.

Layered Envy: Okay.

Lillian and Hansel were now outside of the bakery.

Layered Envy: What did you want to tell me, babe?

Patissier Hansel: Well, remember about a couple of months ago when we had that sleepover together?

Layered Envy: Yeah.

Patissier Hansel: And when we...you know...did that for the first time?

Layered Envy: Yep.

Patissier Hansel: ...

Layered Envy: Hansel? Baby, what is it?

Patissier Hansel: I'm...pregnant.

Lillian was speechless for a few moments.

Layered Envy: Hansel, if this is some kind of joke...I know it's April Fool's Day, too.

Patissier Hansel: No, it's not a joke. I really am. Please don't be mad. Or fire me.

Layered Envy: Why would I be mad? I made you pregnant in the first place.

Patissier Hansel: So, you're not mad?

Layered Envy: Of course not. In fact, I'm the opposite. I'm really happy. This is great! We're having a child together.

Patissier Hansel: What about Gretel? And Strawberry Witch?

Layered Envy: They don't have to know yet. How far along are you?

Patissier Hansel: Almost 6 weeks.

Layered Envy: Okay then. Don't worry. I'll keep this a secret from Gretel and Strawberry Witch for you until we have to tell them.

Patissier Hansel: Alright.

Lillian suddenly grabbed him by the shoulders and pinned him to a wall.

Patissier Hansel: Whoa, what are you...?

He didn't get to finish his sentence, for he was getting kissed by Lillian. He was shocked for a few moments, but he kissed her back. A couple of minutes after making out, Lillian broke it up for air.

Layered Envy: That's what I really wanted for my birthday.

Patissier Hansel: We kiss each other every day though.

Layered Envy: I know that. I just wanted to make it extra special.

Patissier Hansel: Let's go back inside.

Layered Envy: Yeah.

They held hands and went back in the bakery.
