Chapter 39

I was sleeping peacefully after the last night with Naruto. I slept really late because he can't stop blabbing and daddy just shrugged it off seeing it's their last reunion for now.

"Sakura.." Daddy called. I stirred.

He sighed and tried again,"Sakura..." This time he poked me. I groaned.

"Sakura, the Hokage wants to see us immediately and it's close to noon now." He said and my eyes snapped open.

"IT IS THIS LATE ALREADY?!? WHY DIDN'T YOU WAKE ME UP?!?" I was shocked.

"You look so cute when you sleep and you seem so peaceful.. I feel bad waking you up.." He scratched his head sheepishly. I sweat dropped.

I sighed and took a shower, then put on my clothes. I finished up my meal quick and rushed off with daddy.

We arrived in 10 minutes.

"You requested our presence, Hokage-sama?" Daddy asked.

"Yes, since Sasuke left and Naruto is gone for training, they will be temporarily replaced by a team from Suna. The purpose of their assistance is also for them to learn more about our country, so they have an idea to improve their own country as well. Plus, this will strengthen our bond with the Sand Village." She said.

"Who might they be, Tsunade-sama?" I asked.

"Come in." She smiled.

3 person from Suna entered the room. I gasped.

"Gaara, Temari and Kankuro??" I said.

"They are here seeing they are the Kazekage's children and they are quite close to you as well." Tsunade-sama explained. "This will be the temporary Team 7 and now you will receive your mission. It's an A-rank mission. Do you accept?"

All of us exchanged glances and looked at daddy, then we returned our attention to Tsunade-sama and nodded.

"You are to find a princess kidnapped by rogue ninjas. She is the princess of Yumegakure, the Hill Village. The details of the mission are in this scroll. You may leave in 2 hours."

Daddy took the scroll from the Hokage and read through it briefly. He looked up to the Hokage and nodded.

"Very well, dismissed."

We went to our separate ways and packed our bags. I have to drag daddy all the way because he can't stop reading the book. There was a point where I was so pissed, I snatched the book away from him.

"But we have more than 1 hour left.." He whined.

"No, the faster the better." I said and hopped on the rooftops. Then I realised something.

"Are the ANBUs that are guarding me following us to the mission?" I asked.

"So you knew about them?" Daddy was shocked.

"Uhh..well I have this feeling that people are spying on me and when I look out my window once, an ANBU was looking straight at me." I stopped and started again. "Plus, you have always been protective of me and this thing about Orochimaru is serious. You must have told the Hokage and have ANBUs watching over me."

"I'm sorry.. I know you don't like being guarded, but I have to do this. I can't leave you alone." Daddy said.

"Don't worry, I understand. So are they following us?" I asked.

"Nope. They won't interfere with our missions." He said.

"Even so, you are not letting me go anywhere alone, are you?" I whined.

"In your dreams, cherry blossom." Daddy chuckled.

We stopped in front of the gates and saw the three of them. We exchanged smiles as a simple greeting. Daddy explained the mission in detail and it stated the possible hideouts of the rogue ninjas in the village. After that, we started our journey to the Hill Village.

Hell yeah! An A-rank mission!
