Abandoned child hospital

It was another normal day in our home town after we came back from that trip in San Francisco we decided to go on another adventure. Amy, Caleb, Mike, Kayla, Jake and I decided to go explore an abandoned child hospital that was near our town. We decided to take some cameras with us and film this.

So, we took our gear and flashlights and went on another adventure. We were full of adrenaline and I was so excited. The ride was not really long we were listening to music and talking about this building more. Because we always do some research about the building, we go to explore just so that we are prepared for everything. It wasn't really anything special about this one. Only this that it was haunted and you might see a shadow of a child in there.

When we arrived there, we parked our car in front. After that, we went to look the area around just so that we were clear it was "safe" to go in. Before we went into the hospital Kayla was a bit scared and said that she felt some weird chills but we told her to ignore them. We started filming and went in. We started exploring the first floor. Nothing special. There was a lot of mold on the walls and the ceiling was really destroyed. There were pictures on the walls, random drawing of numbers 666 and other devil, ghost things. Basically, things you see in abandoned places.

After we explored the first floor we decided to go higher. The second floor was the one that everything started. It was way more interesting. We found some stuffed animals from kids that were in this school. We went further and Mike saw some weird writings on the wall. I wanted to see them too but before I could get a chance, we heard a loud scream coming from behind us. We saw a shadow in front of us. We looked at each other and when we turned back, we saw the shadow running towards us. We ran and hid in one of the rooms that were close to us. We stayed there for a few minutes.

"Amm, guys. We should really go back. I have these chills again." Kayla said. "Girl, we are fine okay?" I tried to comfort her. She ignored them and we went on. We came across this really scary room and because we all are stupid, we decided to go in it. This was the biggest mistake we ever did. This is probably the reason why Kayla killed herself a month later.

When we got into this room, we saw something we never thought we ever will. There was a kid in front of us. A living kid. Yes. With eyes and she was a girl probably three years old. She was wearing a little white dress that was stained with blood. She was holding a teddy bear in her right hand. She looked scared. Jake was frightened and Mike almost started to cry. Kayla lost it. She was so scared that she started crying.

"We should call the cops, she shouldn't be in here and she looks like she is hurt," Amy said. I wanted to ask her if she is okay but she started to scream with a terrifying voice. The chills ran down my spine and we ran. We ran out of the room and when we looked back the child was following us. After a few minutes of running through this hospital for our lives, the child disappeared.

We got lost in here because we were running. We were scared and we were hearing random voices now. It was scary. I felt like someone was looking at us and standing behind us all the time. I don't know why but for some reason I turned back while we were trying to find a way out.

There was a shadow standing behind us and looking at us. It was a man. Man, that was holding a gun. Why does this always happen to us? Are we really cursed or something?

"Guys, someone is standing behind us," I told them. They turned around. We all knew when we saw the gun that he is going to kill us all. I knew that we shouldn't be here.

"No one is coming out of here. This is my hospital and you shouldn't be here. I will kill every single one of you." We thought we all are going to die. But we saw an even bigger shadow behind this man. Kayla saw it and the guy turned around. This was our only chance. Either we run or we die. We didn't say a word all we did was ran. We ran for our lives. We found the stairs and ran down. We saw front doors and ran outside. Before I ran out, I saw that it was written on the doors with blood "I WILL KILL YOU". I ran outside and told them what I saw.

We had the footage. So, we were able to show it to the police if we wanted. We came home and started editing the footage. We came across something that haunted Kayla until she took her own life.

We saw that child. She was following us from the beginning. From the second we stepped into the hospital. That child haunted Kayla. She was seeing her all the time. She went crazy and she just couldn't handle it anymore. She took her own life. How Mike handled that? He was at a mental hospital for three years.

Even now years later he is still suffering for his loss. Kayla was the love of his life. They were planning their future together and everything. Then one bad day that we had while we were exploring took everything away from him. I still do feel bad for him.

For months I wasn't able to stop thinking about the child either. If we would listen to Kayla when she said that we should go out she would be still alive. Mike really started to keep a distance from us. We lost another good friend. It's just weird. Writing this 22 years later and I still can feel every loss that happened.

I still can see Brooks dying in front of my eyes and confessing love to me. I still see Stella, the way how she tried to shoot me and Kayla. I was the one that found her dead in her room. Her mum hated me for years. She was saying that it was my fault that she did kill herself. Because I wasn't there for her. But she knew that it wasn't my fault. Kayla didn't tell any of us. If she did tell us we would help her. I knew that her mother just wanted to blame someone. But she apologized years later.
