On the back water planet known as earth two yautja warriors, 'Light-stepper' leader of the clan and an elite guard called Ra'kar.
The pair of warriors of father and son were sent to earth to hunt down a pack of hardmeat (Xenomorphs) so they wouldn't spread through out the planet.
They have done hunts like these before but mainly leading small group of young bloods to earn their marks.

Light-stepper had word from their elder that after the 'right of passage' in a isolated nature reserve, there were 3 hardmeats still remaining.
It was the clan leader and his chosen warrior to get rid of the prey and were allowed to collect their own trophies on the way.
Light-stepper took lead while following a fresh trail of the hardmeat's tracks and liquids from it's moist body and fangs.
"Still fresh, it shouldn't be too far ahead unless we quicken our pace."
Light-stepper turned to Ra'kar for an answer but noticed he wasn't paying any attention.
"Ra'Kar, Did you hear me?"

Ra'kar snapt out of his trance and looked over to his father and bowed his head in shame.
It was disrespectful not to answer to your parent who was also your leader of the whole clan.
"Forgive me father. My mind was on other things."
Light-stepper shook his head with a light growl of annoyance.
"We are on a hunt my son, your mind should be focusing on our prey not other matters."

Ra'kar nodded in a agreement and started getting back on the trail.
He placed his hand on the ground to track the heat of the print and noticed it was still very warm.
"Strange...Father?! The trail is still very warm and they end right he-"

"RA'KAR!! ABOVE YOU!!"

Ra'kar didn't have a chance to react as he heard the familar screech that sent shivers down his spin after his own 'right of passage.'
He felt something lunge at him and made him tumble forward and roll down a cliff.
Ra'kar couldn't take control of his own body, all his saw was the ground and sky spinning while the hardmeat was on top of him.
All he felt was the hard rocks hitting his back and neck like fists pounding into him.
All he could hear was his father roaring at him to fight back and pull through.

Light-stepper jumped down and skidding down by using his iron-clawed feet to help keep his grip.
He used his whole body to keep balance and take control.
He may only have one hand but that didn't stop him becoming the youngest leader of his clan, in fact it encourage the younger generation of yautja to become greater warriors.

Light-stepper was known for his skills and following the warrior code but at this moment he didn't care if he was breaking any.
This was his son! His last born and gift of he beloved, deceased mate and he wasn't ready to bury his child.
"Ra'kar! Upper thrust! Use the upper thrust!"

At that moment Ra'Kar remembered his warrior training and immediately took action.
While tumbling down he tucked his knees in and used his feet to kick the hardmeat off him.
The mighty prey screeched with surprise as it was thrust up in the air but before it could turn it's body around Ra'kar sliced it's head off with his wrist blades.

Ra'kar land behind his prey's corpse and approached it.
He watched the body bleed out it's toxic life source and the elite guard roared out his victory.
How he felt in invincible after killing the most mightest prey of his people's history.
Light-stepper skidding to a flat ridge and huffed in relief seeing his son in one piece but his son's victory will soon be short lived.

Light-stepper leaped down near Ra'kar and marched towards him.
"Father! Did you see?! After I bested the hardmeat I lept to it and-"
Ra'kar was silenced by Light-stepper's fist that landed hard on Ra'kar's head that made his whole mask vibrate.

"OW! father, what was that for?!"
Light-stepper snarled at his son and paced around him in rage.
"You stupid bloody fool! You could of been killed!"
Ra'kar just stood there frozen to his father's fury and tried his best not to cower away.
"We are on one of our missionary hunts! You always pay attention but this time your acting out like a new blood that just started basic training!"

"Father...I-"

"SHUT YOUR MOUTH AND LET ME FINISH YOU ARROGANT PUP!"
Ra'kar flinced as his father's roars and clicks gotten more aggressive.
"After all these years of me training you myself and you have high knowledge of intense tracking or tactic trapping and you still mess it up!"
Ra'kar didn't want this conversation again and by Paya (Yautja God) he didn't want this humiliation again.

Why can't his father just once be proud for any of his accomplishments?
He finally achieved an elite guard which many yautja parents would of been so proud of.
Like all yautja clans they would loose so many of their offsprings that they had to keep reproducing for the stronger generation.
Yet Ra'kar's father would still treat him like he never amounted to anything in clan.

This was not the night for Light-stepper to start his disappointed father rant, they still had 2 more hardmeats to hunt and Ra'kar was near the end of his patients.
Light-stepper still paced around with rage and couldn't stop his emotions flowing through.
"You constantly miss out simple tracks and scents and you never listen to any of my advices! Sometimes out of all your siblings that me and your mother had, you just had to be the one that my bloodline depended on!"

That was it...

That was the tip of the iceberg and Light-stepper just had to go there.
Ra'kar was done with all the years of public humiliation and abusive words ever since he was a young blood.
The respect for his father had finally dissolved into a puddle of spite.

Light-stepper turned away from his son and acknowledged the kill and was infact impressed how Ra'kar managed to do such technique.
But he had to get into hunting mode and get back to their mission.
"If the hardmeat was near the forest line than that means the other two are near water."
Light-stepper looked around and noticed they were near a huge canyon full of caves and pools of fresh water from an underground river.
"So they must be here. We will scout around these caves and take them by surprise. Can you manage that Ra'kar?"

"Whatever you say...Light-stepper."

Light-stepper stood silent with his back towards Ra'kar.
Light-stepper couldn't believe what he just heard and hoped it was not true.
"What did you just say to me?"
The leader looked directly at Ra'kar and even through the masks Light-stepper could see hatred in Ra'kar's eyes.
"Did I stutter? Do you wish of me to repeat myself, Light-stepper?"

This couldn't be true! Ra'kar just said his name out loud like it was nothing.
His own son practically disowned him by saying his given clan name.
Ra'kar made it clear that Light-stepper was no longer his father but just his clan leader.

The respect from his son was gone.

Ra'kar stepped away from his father and looked around the caves and gave a growl.
"You may not noticed my skills father but others have. I was given an assignment by one of the high ranking clans."
Ra'kar looked back at Light-stepper still not loosing his hate for him.
"Their clan leader's son wants me to be his fully trusted body guard to his expecting mate and as of now I will take my new role after this hunt."

Light-stepper stepped back in shock upon hearing such news.
His only son was leaving the clan for another?
No! This was not acceptable, not from his own son.
"You will not go! As your leader and father I forbid you to do such a brash decision. What will your mate Jas'itcha say about this?"

Ra'kar snarled while he clicked with rage and stomped his feet that cause the ground to rumble under Light-stepper.
"What is this tantrum for? How would you expect your mate and your unborn pup to deal with such chi-"

"My mate and pup died 2 hours ago..."
