Emerald's P.O.V

I felt the cold metal press against the side of my head. I took a deep breath and closed my eyes, hot tears streaming down my face. I wanted to scream, I wanted to scream for help, but I was bound in silence. Every time I opened my mouth to scream, nothing came out. I saw Josh and Mom standing there in front of me. I looked to my right to see if Ruby was there next to me, but it was only me. Mom was talking and Josh was yelling over and over again but I couldn't make out any sounds. I heard the click of the gun being loaded and closed my eyes again. I heard two loud bangs, and the cold feel of the metal on the side of my head disappeared. I opened my eyes and turned to look at Mom and Josh, lying on the ground in pools of their own blood. I tried to run to them but it felt like I was being held back by something. I tried to yell, but only silence was heard. I felt the metal on my head again, I knew what was going to happen. Click. BANG!

Josh's P.O.V

I jolted up from Blue's bed hearing Emerald scream. I didn't realize how much Blue dealt with during the nights with Ruby and Emerald. Currently Blue was in Florida filming a music video for her song 'Need You More'. I ran over to the Emerald's room and opened the door. I ran to her bed and she was shaking and crying. I guess she had a nightmare or something.

"Shh, don't cry princess," I said jumping into her bed, grabbing her and pulling her close to me, "It's ok, it was just a dream."

I held her close to me, running my fingers through her hair, "It's okay, I promise. I'm here and you're safe and nothing can hurt you."

She continued to cry and shake as I calmed her down. After a couple minutes she stopped crying and stopped shaking. I looked down at her and she was staring at the wall with a blank expression. I looked at the clock and it read 4 in the morning. Figures, the one night I have to stay the night with them, this is the night it would happen.

"Click," Emerald whispered quietly.

"What?" I asked.

"Bang," Emerald whispered and started to shake again.

"Emerald, are you okay?" I asked softly.

Silence.

She closed her eyes and drifted back to sleep. I would pay a million dollars to know what was going on in her head right now. Click? Bang? What does that even mean?

Trevor's P.O.V

"How come you had me in this video but not Josh?" I asked, confused.

"I honestly don't like working with people I really care about," Blue shrugged.

"Okay, then why didn't you ask Griffin to be in the video with you?" I sipped my drink, "You both have great chemistry, even if Josh doesn't want to admit it."

"That's the thing, tho. I wouldn't want to put Griffin as my love interest in the music video because then Josh would be very jealous and we don't want that now do we," Blue laughed.

"I feel that," I laughed.

"And if I had Josh as the love interest it would just be bad if we were to ever break up again and have to watch that video," Blue shrugged.

Blue and I knocked on the table and laughed as a girl who is usually here sits down at her usual table. Blue looked at the girl and then at me, smirking. My eyes widened and I shook my head.

"Go talk to her," Blue chuckled.

"No," I protested.

"Look at her! She's just a bit shorter than you, beautiful brown hair, blue eyes, she's perfect! Come on! You know that every morning that we've come to this coffee shop she always sits there all alone. We are here  until 4, you can get a date before then. Go talk to her!" Blue protested.

"Sapphire, no! I don't need a girlfriend," I whispered.

"Yes you do! Come on, please?" Blue pleaded.

"No! Now I'm going to get more coffee from inside," I sighed, "Do you want anything?"

"Yes," Blue smiled, "I'll take a tall ass glass of you talking to that girl!"

I rolled my eyes and headed in. Why can't Blue leave me alone? I'm not just going to talk to any random girl I meet on the street. Can't she just let me live my—as I was lost in thought I ran right into somebody.

"Shit, I am so sorry!" I said.

I looked up and I spilled a girls iced coffee all over her and knocked all of her papers out of her hand.

"It's okay," She laughed, "This isn't the first time this happened."

"I am still so sorry! I was totally lost in thought," I said kneeling down, helping her pick up her papers, picking up a soaking wet piece of paper, "Hopefully this paper wasn't important."

"It's actually my homework," She laughed, "Do you think my professor will believe a cute guy in the coffee shop spilled my coffee on it?"

"What grade are you in college?" I asked.

"I'm a senior," She smiled at me, "Last year of medical school."

"Well I'm sure he hopefully will cut you a break, I smiled.

"I'm Vanessa," She smiled back.

"Trevor," I nodded.

"Nice to meet you Trevor," She giggled.

"Yeah. Sorry it had to happen like this. Let me buy you a new coffee...and a new shirt," I laughed.

"How about instead you take me to the park this afternoon after my class," She smiled.

"What time does your class end?" I asked.

"5," She stated.

"Shit," I muttered, "I can't."

"Aw why?" She pouted, "Do you have a date or something?"

"No. I fly out 4 but how about we make a date," I smiled.

"Like what?" She asked.

"How about I take you to go see Les Miserable this weekend," I smiled.

"One, that's in New York, and two I've been trying to get tickets but they've been sold out forever," Vanessa groaned.

"What if I told you I can get you tickets and take you backstage after the show?" I smirked.

"Psh. Yeah. If only," She sighed, "Can you seriously do that?"

"I may know a girl. Here's my number. I'll text you by Thursday to let you know what's going on. I'll pay for your ticket and everything," I smiled handing her a piece of paper with my number on it.

"It's a date," She smiled.

I handed her back the papers and walked outside. I walked over to Blue and sat down.

"Why didn't you get more coffee?" Blue asked. Crap.

"Line was too long," I shrugged.

"Well there's no line to talk to that girl over there," Blue cheekily smiled.

"SAPPHIRE!" I screamed.

"COME ON!" She groaned.

"Sapphire! I already have a girl I'm interested in," I smiled sheepishly.

"What? Who? When? Where?" Blue asked quickly.

"Like a minute ago, inside. Her name is Vanessa," I smiled, "I invited her to New York to go see Les Miserables this weekend."

"Did you tell her you were in the show?" Blue raised an eyebrow.

"I would never lie," I pouted.

"Wait...this weekend? We're sold out, remember?" Blue asked, "How are you going to get tickets? Did you forget we're SOLD OUT!"

"I was hoping you could help me score some tickets," I smiled innocently while I fluttered my eyes.

"You bitch."
