change in plans

We all dug in, everyone generously passing each dish around. The smell of home cooked food wafted through the air as I drooled. I piled my plate with the essentials before diving in.

I watched as the rest of the table moved around frantically. Each one passing a dish like they've done it a million times. Jeongyeon tapped sana's shoulder and without looking up she passed her the pepper. I admired the way they worked together in such a way.

I was snapped out of my thoughts by nayeon "so y/n when are you planning on moving in?" "Uhh" I took out my phone and glanced at the date. "Oh sh-" I stopped myself from cursing. It was Friday, meaning I am supposed to be out by today. I sigh as I let my head fall from my shoulders and hit the table with a thud.

The sound of metal hitting bowl is heard as everyone goes silent. Then the sound of wood on wood as someone pushes themself from the table and gets out of the chair. I feel a calming hand on my shoulder. "Y/n what's wrong?" I look up to see not only jihyo looking at me concerned but everyone else is too.

I sigh "it's nothing.." jihyo gives a look to jeongyeon then to nayeon. They nod and get up. "Come on guys let's go eat in the living room" jeongyeon ushers everyone out "but you never let us eat full meals in there" dahyun said skeptically. "Well this is a one time thing so enjoy it" nayeon said as she followed behind the group.

I was rubbing my temples to calm the stressed induced headache that started. "Y/n tell me what's wrong. I'm not asking and I frankly don't care if you don't want to tell me." She sounded like my mom. I shook my head as I let out a shaky breath. "I-I am supposed to be out of my apartment by today. I totally forgot about it. Everything has just been happening so fast-" I cut myself off due to the familiar burning in my throat as my eyes threatened to rain.

Jihyo took my hand into hers as she soothingly ran her thumb over it "I know it's a lot on you. It would be for anyone in your position, But don't worry. You have us now" she smiled "how about we help you move? Ok? It will give us all something useful to do." I looked up "what about the plans you had?" She laughed "honestly I was just thinking of having a day at the park but its probably still muddy anyways from yesterday" she patted my shoulder before standing up. She picked up her own plate "now come on let's eat with the others and tell them" I nodded and followed behind her.

I sat down in the first free space I saw which was between mina and momo. They smiled as I sat down. Jihyo set her plate down before grabbing the remote to pause the drama the girls has played. She stood before me and the rest of the girls. "So there is a change of plans, we will be eating then we will have 2 hours  to get ready then we are leaving to help y/n move. I expect you all to be helpful and well behaved, are there any questions?" She sounded like a teacher.

Momo spoke "yes, will we be provided snacks and lunch while helping?" Everyone agreed with her question. I cleared my throat "yes everything will be on me" everyone cheered "ok everyone finish eating so we can get ready and go" everyone nodded as jihyo took a seat and we all continued to eat and watch the drama.
