Never-ending sacrifice [Mobile Legends (Harith x Nana)]

Part 1: Backstory

Ok, first the rules:

Harith's story (Harith's POV)

"Harith!" A voice yelled from the other side of the door, "get out of bed, today's your day."

I looked to my right where my window was and looked out to find it pitch black.

"Wait," I yelled back, "What time is it, it's still dark."

"It's time for you to get ready, you're going to the Land of Dawn academy today."

"Ugh," I rolled out of bed and fell to the floor. Groaning, I got up. My head was buzzing from a restless night until I fully registered what she just said, I was going to the Land of Dawn academy. I jumped up and immediately started grabbing my clothes and stuffed them in a bag.

After piling all my belongings in my bag, I raced out of my room and bounded downstairs. I ran to the dining room and slammed the door behind me.

Instantly, I yelped in pain as I quickly pulled my tail from the door and doorframe.

"That's what you get for being so hasty," chided my mother who was placing a plate of pancakes on the table.

My tail throbbed but I pushed the pain from my mind as I sat down at the table. Pancakes were my favourite, mother knew me too well.

"Today's the day my little boy becomes a man (you know what I mean), I feel so proud."

"Mom, I've been 18 for the past two months," I replied in between mouthfuls of fluffy cake.

"Yes, but today is when you finally leave the house and live by yourself with a highly successful school."

I couldn't deny that. I was overjoyed about the prospect of going to the academy. It was my life long passion to study magic there so I could become the greatest magician in the world.

I finished the last mouthful of pancake, wishing there was more but too hyped to be eating. I heard a car rev outside and knew who it was.

"Make sure to send messages son and come visit me often."

"Yes, of course, I will."

"Oh, and if you decide to bring a girlfriend along..."

"Ok, ok I understand, now stop talking please."

My mother just laughed as I felt my cheeks burn. I headed towards the door as magic tingled through my body from the excitement. Within a moment, I dashed through the door leaving a blurry afterimage of myself and raced towards the car. I threw my bag in the back seat and went to the passenger's side.

"Hey, Harith, good to see you up so early."

"Hey, Alucard, just excited I guess."

"Yeah, I can see since you just Chrono dashed through the door."

Rosy red light lit the sky as the first rays of sunlight beamed from below the mountains. Alucard started up the car again and off we went.
