I position myself on the shelf and await to be selected by a good owner who can be my best friend I never had. A little girl with brown hair and a blue dress comes up and grazes her hand upon my red silky hair and gives a warm smile. I didn't know what to do, should I say something? Am I dressed for this? Next thing I know I'm being checked out and taken home.My new home. We arrive at a small old but sturdy one-story house. The little girl sets me in the center of her bed where the sun shines the most. I scan the room of my new home, paintings and drawings occupy the walls with small lights that display the name "molly". Molly?  It must be a little girl's name.
That afternoon I spent time with my best friend, we had endless tea parties, drawing contests and we even baked cakes! I was glad to be in my new home with a good owner. Night falls, it's time for bed, we change into our pajamas and rest our heads against the pillow and shut our eyes. All of a sudden... CRASH! SLAM! Molly jumps up and snatches me off the bed with fear in her eyes and scurries to a hidden apartment in her closet, she clutches me tight and mumbles something under her breath. What is going on? I ask myself. The closet door vigorously slammed open. I examine Molly's face, her eyes widen as a man takes her by the arm and loosens her grip of me and I fall carelessly to the floor.
It goes dark and I cannot see, I can only give attention to the screams and things being aggressively thrown across the room. Weeks passed and I have not seen Molly. Has she forgotten about me? When will she be back? The closet door slowly opens, a small child grabs me and holds me close. It's molly, but something is off about her… bruises and scratches plaster on her face, but she still has her warm smile. She sets me down in my usual spot and puts on some powder and draws on her face with a funny pencil; she looks back at me and she was back to the same molly I met, but I knew she really wasn't. Molly gets dressed in her school uniform and puts me gently in her backpack and heads out the door. I peek out of a hole in the side of the backpack to observe my surroundings
We pass by abandoned-looking streets and roaming stray dogs scavenging for food. We arrived at the school and I was delighted to see a new set of scenery. Molly places the backpack onto the ground and starts the lesson. The students all stare and point at her as if she was somethingfrom out of this world. After long hours of endless learning, lunch rolls in and we make our way to the cafeteria. Students collaborate about lunacy and what not. Molly sits at a table in the back and takes me and her lunch out of the backpack. I quietly recline on top of the table and watch her consume her lunch happily.
Time passes by its time to go home, Molly's smile fades and she walks out from the schoolyard and steps onto the sidewalk, her head symmetrical to the tip of her toes as we walk back to the place where we call home. She wipes away the disguise on her face and breaks into tears, I couldn't bear to see her like this, I knew I had to do something! anything! That night as she barely manages to fall into a deep sleep. I break out of my stiff state and began to wonder and observe the room more. I found some pencil and paper and began to write a note for help to save Molly from the monstrous angered man. I quickly slid the sheet of paper into her backpack and waited for morning to arise.
The sun beamed across Molly's face, she woke up and did her usual routine and was out the door. We got to the school and soon enough I would have to put my plan into action. The teacher called out for homework; I had attached the paper to her homework on our way here, Molly grabbed her homework and passed it to the teacher. As the class went on I could feel the teacher's orifices wander from the page to Molly in concern.
Soon enough class was over the teacher as expected, called molly over. Molly was worried about why she was ordered, consults " what is the problem? I know that I am passing the class" The teacher looks at her with a stern look and replies, " oh it's not that, but I do feel that you are not doing well at home." Molly is stunned by how she figured it out, but then she lets out all of her emotions and tells the teacher everything, even the stuff before I was there.
The teacher walks us out to the counselor which she then tells the police department. Molly was finally getting the justice she deserves.we arrived at the old building but this time it would be the final time. Molly's dad was escorted to the police car with a defeated expression on his face. And for the first time in a while Molly was smiling not a phony smile but a real warm smile and now I realize that I'm where I belong.
