It's 2:00 am in the middle of January. I've been sitting on this bench for almost 3 hours. I'm. Fucking. Freezing. Why? Why am I sitting out here in the cold winter night? You know it's probably for the best if I take you back a couple of months.

"Yeah, I'll be there okay?" I said, taking to my best friend who invited me for a drink. I then grabbed my car keys and headed to the club where my friends at.
"Hey! What's up? How long has it been Kuer?" said Chris, one of my bestfriends. "What took you so long? I thought we were meeting here 45 minutes ago?" said by Norman. ANOTHER one of my bestfriends. I faked a smile and avoided a question. Sitting in a bar this late gives me time to think. A remedy. A solution. Call it whatever you want but this noisy place, can be quiet for me.
"What're you spacing out for?" asked Norman. I just drank and didn't respond. He then went to order more drinks, just to pry open a conversation. Norman asked "You're still thinking about Reign aren't you? Come on, it's been 3 years, haven't you moved on? There are a lot of girls here, I know you can get every single one of 'em."
"Not really, I'm just trying to have a drink, that's all. Besides, I'm not looking for something next level right now, what's the point?" I replied. After finishing about a bottle or two, I went outside to smoke and get some time to be alone. Popped a case of cigarettes and lit one. "Let me guess, girl problems?" a stranger asked. "Not necessarily, just having a smoke." I then replied.
"Seriously? So let me get this straight, you got in literally 10 mins ago, and then you go out... from a bar? A B A R." said by the stranger.
"Yeah, I see you're not having a good time as well if you're minding the business of other people." I said. The stranger that I've been talking to is actually a pretty woman. Braided hair, like dreads, pink lips and flashy outfit, someone that you can mistake for a foreigner. I finished my smoke and headed straight home.

I've been walking around the park near my apartment every morning, trying to find a mood, obtain a feeling and settle for about a day. Everyday it gets harder and harder to settle. But today is different. The girl that I've talked to outside the bar last week was sitting in the park bench. Thinking about it, I've been too harsh for someone who I haven't met before. I approached her and asked her if how she was doing. A little small talk and I got her number and her name. After a while, I went back into my apartment and had a couple of beers, just to relax.
While I'm sitting in my couch, a noticed the paper in which she wrote her number in. I called the number and.. "Hey, do you have plans tonight? I was thinking if we can get some coffee and get to know each other, think of it as my way of apologizing." I said. She accepted my offer and I waited for the night time to come.
(Same day, 8 p.m)
"Hey, glad you actually came." I said.
"Well yeah, who'd want to turn down a free coffee with a person I met hours ago right? I hope you're not an axe murderer." She said.
"I'm more of a gun-type killer so technically, you're wrong." I added.
We sat down, ordered coffee and started to get to know each other. She is pretty. I love her brown hair and ocean eyes. I can't help but to look at her. "You know Chel, I haven't even asked you if you have a boyfriend yet." I asked.
"Then ask?" She replied.
"Do you have a boyfriend?"
"No, I have no time for those kind of things." She replied.
