Chapter 5

<Lakota>

I took Mia from Rose and climbed to my feet pulling Rose and Michel up along with me. I felt

Mia put her head on my shoulder and before long she had passed out. I looked over at Rose to and saw Michel begin to dose off, I pulled him over beside his sister so Rose didn’t get tired. She glanced at me before walking in front of me to hold any branches away, we finally got back to the house; a woman ran out saying how she was watching the pups and that it was her fault they were able to get out. Rose walked up to her and placed her hand on her shoulder, “Don’t worry about it, those two are sneaks, they can escape from anyone’s sights so suddenly that it puts them in a state of shock.”

The woman nodded at Rose before going back into the house, I went to go into the home when Natalia rushed out and tried to get me to hold her and comfort her, I pushed her away the best I could and went to my room to lay the kids in bed. I looked at them as Mia snuggled closer to her brother and deeper into the bed, I smiled; they were willing to face the wrath of their mother just to make sure that she was happy. What really got me grinning was that they were willing to allow me into their lives and call me their father even if they know I’m not their real father. I brushed my hand over Mia’s head she twitched a little but she didn’t wake up. Before long I felt my father try to get into my head, when I allowed him in what he told almost allowed my wolf out. Lakota, after you left Natalia attacked Rose when she her back was turned, she in the hospital and Natalia is already in the cells. I rushed from the room rushing towards the hospital.

<Rose>

We had just returned to the house I told a woman that it was okay that they got out, I believe that they might be ninjas if I didn’t know them. I heard someone call my name, it was Lily. I went to her “Hi Lily”

She nodded but started looking around for someone, I smiled that Lily was worried about Michel, I wouldn’t doubt it if they were mates. “Looking for Mia….” She just kept looking “Or could it be you’re looking for Michel.”

Her head snapped to me before she quickly shook her head back and forth, I laughed at her denial. I heard Lily gasp but before she could say anything I felt pain on my back and on my left shoulder, Lily screamed. Her scream was so high pitched that it not only effect the wolf behind me but wolves near. I fell forward feeling myself become weaker and weaker as I bled. I know that my backs already healing but I try to stay human long enough for them to get me medical help or I’m going to go wolf. Lakota’s father came over commanding the wolf to shift and had some warriors take them away before he turned to another and told him to get me to the hospital. We didn’t take more than ten steps before I blacked out.

<Lakota>

I rushed into the hospital to see dad talking to a doctor, “Doc is my mate okay”

“She’ll live if that’s what you want to hear, but I’m confused on one thing. She was attacked and losing blood fast so she couldn’t process what happened, but she shifted the moment we got her into a room and treated her.”

I was about to run to my mate but dad stopped me, he shook his head as the doctor continued talking, “What really shocked me was the moment she shifted her wound started healing at a faster rate, now the reason that I’m confused is no wolf should be able to do that unless she is from the royal pack.”

I looked at him and my father confused, “The royal pack?”

“I forgot you never paid attention to the elder, the royal’s was how their name perceived them; they ruled all the packs throughout the world but they did a better job then what the slayers are doing. 5 years ago they were attacked and killed, a few bodies weren’t accounted for so we figured that they were either captured, dead somewhere else or now a slayer. We never got any answers so we just assumed that they were dead, but by looking how this wound is progressing I would assume she is indeed a royal.”

<Rose>

I slowly returned to my senses to see I was wolf, so I slowly shifted You be careful Rozen I don’t want to have to continue healing you for another hour, I smirked to myself before walking to the door and pulling it open, I walked through the hospital halls. I finally found Lakota, the doctor and alpha, what shocked me was that they had already figured me out. I silently growled before walking into sight, the doctor was the first to see me, “Young lady get back to bed you are not healed yet to be walking around.”

“I’m sorry to say this sir but I’m completely healed.”

He glared at me before stalking off, I smirked before turning to the other two men, “Shall we go to a more private place and I will answer any questions.”

I was lead through the yard, I saw many different activates being performed but what caught my eye was the fighting ring. Everyone surrounding the pit were men, I ignored Lakota and his father calling after me as I came closer to see a young boy no older then fourteen but in the pit with someone twice his age and size, I saw him tap out but the wolf kept attacking him. I jumped into the crowd and push my way through. I saw that the older wolf was going to perform a move that would kill the young wolf, I jumped into the ring to quickly twist the older wolf around and hit his pressure points making him fall to his knees. I turned to the young wolf and helped him to his feet, another older wolf came into the ring, “What gives you the right to come into this ring and stop a fight," I leaned the young one onto a corner before turning my attention to the wolves and getting into the face of the old one, “I  would have kept going about my business but what none seemed to notice or care was that the young one tapped out but the dipshit on the ground didn’t seemed to notice so I intervened, and that move he was about to perform would have killed the young one.”

The wolf looked to me and then to the wolf, “She’s lying man, why would I try to kill the boy.”

The wolves looked back to me, I sighed already exhausted, “Bring me a log about the size as the man on the ground and put it near the ring.”

A warrior did what I asked as I slowly walked up to the log, I spread my legs and did the same move as the wolf was doing. When I pressed on the log I saw it begin to shatter and split; I turned to see that I had attracted a crowd. I spotted the wolf who doubted me, I bowed to him before turning around to continue going to the house, “Wait how you even knew that move?”

 I glanced back before answering, “I learned when I was little girl.”

I went to Lakota as we trekked into the house and up to the room, I saw the pups sleeping. I smiled at them before climbing into bed with them,  and feeling the bed dip further as Lakota also climbed in; I looked to see Mia snuggled up to him as Michel moved closer to her and started feeling for me. I smirked at him before lying beside him, the moment that my head hit the pillow I was out.
